One of the most popular events of the summer here in Alaska is the Alaska State Fair.
As with many similar events across the entire United States, Alaska has been hard-hit by the Covid-19 virus outbreak. As a result, our 2020 Alaska State Fair has been cancelled.
As a result, many of the State Fair vendors are without work because there will be no state fair this year. One in particular, The Alaska Soda Jerk, has moved their business into Anchorage having been invited to share space with a local Anchorage 'watering-hole'.
To check The Alaska Soda Jerk out and to give them some business, Patti and I paid them a visit the other day.

We begin with a view of The Alaska Soda Jerk from across The Old Seward Highway in the Southern (Dimond Blvd) part of Anchorage.
Now we will move in a little closer.
You can see our white Chevrolet Suburban in the crowded parking lot.
On a mid-week afternoon, we were pleased to see all of the support they are getting here in Anchorage.

We opted for a Mixed Berry Milkshake.
Our milkshake was fun and very tasty.

An article in our local newspaper stated that The Alaska Soda Jerk's summer business here in Anchorage would not equal that of 12 days at the state fair.
