While Patti and I were up at our cabin in Manley Hot Springs, Alaska, we were visiting our neighbors Bea and Terry.
Suddenly Bea looked out the window, squealed, and we all ran out on their front porch.
And what to our wondering eyes did appear?
Yes! A very sizeable female MOOSE. I'll call her Mrs Moose.
Below are a few photos of their porch, from which the photos of Mrs Moose were taken.
Bea has quite a nice system of greenhouses in their backyard.
Here she comes, wandering into the yard for a visit.
"Well hello to you Mrs Moose."
In the background of the below photo, you can see three plots of Bea's prized strawberries.
Goodness Mrs Moose, have you no couth (culture and refined manners)? What exactly is your body language telling us?
Then Mrs Moose came over to inspect Bea's rototiller.
Back she proceeded to Bea's strawberries.
Thanks for the munchies you human folks. Time for me to wander off into the woods.

Would it be possible to use one of your stunning moose eating garden plants pictures for a citizen science website encouraging people in Sweden to investigate what species are all after their strawberries?
