NOV 30, 20 .. COVID TESTING IN THE WINTER

Right / Left / Center of the aisle, take your pick as to where you stand in the political spectrum. It seems to us that there is indeed something to the Covid-19 virus outbreak here in the United States.

No matter your decision as to the reality of covid, being ages 80 and 84, based upon the statistics that 80% of covid deaths are people age 65 years and up, we are certainly in the high risk category for a severe experience should either of us (if one of us gets it the other gets it) contact covid.

So we are getting tested regularly (weekly). Below are a few photos of our own local covid testing site.

Have any of you seen the enormously long lines of people in automobiles in various places in the United States? If so think back on them as you see our very (extremely) small covid testing site.

This is a very pleasant testing site. We are aware that it comes with a cost (the rental of a nice motor home and salaries for the testers) and we thank the entity that is financially supporting it.

We THANK YOU who make this possible.

We are very fortunate that we have been blessed with our small and very relaxed covid testing site.

NOV 28, 20 .. PROVIDENCE ALASKA MEDICAL CENTER AND MY PHYSICAL THERAPY

Two months ago, on Sunday, September the 27th, I took a very bad fall while Patti and I were visiting our cabin in Manley Hot Springs. If you are not aware of this event, and would like some information, below is a link that will provide you details of my fall.

http://babakaps.net/?p=41865

After returning to Anchorage, I visited my Orthopedic Clinic in the Providence Alaska Medical Center here in Anchorage. After a medical examination, I was prescribed a regimen of Physical Therapy.

In this Post I will show photos of the Providence Alaska Medical Center. In my opinion, it borders on being a mammoth facility, and it is far and away the largest here in the State of Alaska.

THE PROVIDENCE ALASKA MEDICAL CENTER

When I write above that it is a mammoth facility I take into account that it has several different campuses. The first series of photos below show the 'main' campus.

We are going to turn left at this traffic light and see the 'main' campus. If we were to turn right at this intersection, we would go to the campus where I receive my Physical Therapy.

We will turn right at the stop sign in the below photo. That will take us to the Main Entrance of the Medical Center.

We have now turned right and are proceding to the Main Entrance of the Medical Center.

Now we are going to leave the 'main' campus. As we drive out, we pass the Alaska Airlines Center located on the University of Alaska Anchorage Campus.

Patti and I have visited the center several times and enjoyed a great lunch at the restaurant within the center.

Now we are off for the campus where I participate in my Physical Therapy. We turn left at the below traffic light.

And we pass still more medical center buildings (including the one in the above photo).

Whoa ! And what have we here ? Hello Moose Yearling.

We are now approaching the medical campus where my Physical Therapy appointments are conducted.

Part of each and every visit is finding a place to park in an enormous Parking Garage.

Finding a place to park our Chevrolet Surburban can be a tad challenging but so far I'm batting 100%.

Looking out from within the 'S' Building at the parking garage.

Below you see the entryway into the 'S', 'T' and 'U' Medical Buildings.

My Physical Therapy is in the 'S' Building.

We are now going inside of the 'S' building where my Physical Therapy takes place.

It is absolutely amazing how beautiful the interior of these medical buildings are.

Spotless and beautiful. See for yourselves.

Looking out at the beauty surrounding Anchorage.

Here we are, at my final destination.

Now we are inside the Clinic waiting to be called for my appointment.

A few photos of the interior of the absolutely outstanding Physical Therapy Clinic.

I am very proud to be a patient of The Providence Alaska Medical Center.
