My son David was born March 10th (Today's date) in 1962 .. so as my son Robb likes to say .. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAKE DAVID ! .. on your BIG FIVE 0 !

I am in Apple Valley in California in the United States and want to post a few photos of SAN FRANCISCO that I did not get posted when I was just in SAN FRANCISCO from February 28th to March 8th .. so here we go ..

WHAT CAN I SAY .. TO THINK THAT I ACTUALLY LIVED IN SAN FRANCISCO FOR OVER  THIRTY YEARS ..

I don't quite know how to start this post .. I will quote MISS SAN FRANCISCO saying to MISS HONG KONG .. the following words .. 

"Bobba Caps has been telling me about your legs MISS HONG KONG .. well .. being age 75 Bobba Cap's memory is suspect .. obviously he has forgotten that I TOO HAVE LEGS !" ..

In this post I want to show you some assorted photos of San Francisco .. most .. if not all of them .. are of prominent 'landmarks' ..

TELEGRAPH HILL and COIT TOWER .. In the first photo below .. if you will look to the right center of the photo .. you can see (the round tower) COIT TOWER ON TELEGRAPH HILL .. 

In the IMMEDIATE foreground of the below photo you can also see the top of the CROOKEDEST STREET IN THE WORLD .. the section of LOMBARD STREET that drops down going East from the top of Russian Hill .. BOTH (Lombard Street and Russian Hill) are famous 'landmarks' ..

Turning 90-degrees to your left from the above photo .. below you see Saint Peter and Saint Paul's Church .. another magnificent San Francisco 'landmark' ..

Now go back to the first photo above .. The Crookedest Street In The World .. Lombard Street East of Russian Hill .. go to the bottom of Lombard Street and look back up and below is your view looking West up The Crookedest Street In The World ..

Back to the top photo above .. turn to your left 90-degrees and you will look down Russian Hill ! .. out in the distance .. at the top of the photo ..  you will see Alcatraz Island .. a former Federal Prison of  'landmark' fame in San Francisco ..

Hong Kong is not the only city with double decker open-air tour buses !

THIS .. NOW THIS IS .. SAN FRANCISCO .. FISHERMANS WHARF !

Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco is a combination of restaurants and actual fishing boats .. below is one of the most famous of the restaurants at The Wharf .. ALIOTO'S .. The Alioto Family is a MOST PROMINENT FAMILY in San Francisco .. Joe Alioto was the Mayor for some years ..

Below is a photo of another of the famous restaurants at the wharf .. FISHERMAN'S GROTTO .. AND your first 'peek' at some of the actual fishing boats ..

OK .. here we go with the fishing boats .. in the first photo immediately below you can see another restaurant in the distance .. there are a lot of them at The Wharf !

 

Make no mistake .. the fishing boats are ACTUAL WORKING FISHING BOATS .. they are NOT just out there for 'display' for the visiting tourists !

THIS ..  NOW THIS IS  ..  San Francisco.. and to think that I have been all over India looking at churches .. here at HOME .. a block from where I lived for many years .. St. Anne of the Sunset ..

And here we are in NORTH BEACH .. WOW HUH ..

I KNOW .. YOU ALL WANT TO SEE THE NEXT PHOTO .. FOR YOU.. THIS IS SAN FRANCSICO ..

OH MY .. AND HERE I HAVE BEEN FLIRTING WITH MRS. INDIA AND ALL OF HER LADY CITIES .. AND MISS HONG KONG .. AND MISS SAN FRANCISCO .. MY CITY-BY-THE-BAY .. HAS BEEN QUIETLY WAITING FOR ME TO COME HOME TO HER !  MY HOME FOR OVER THIRTY (30) YEARS !

GOODNESS MISS SAN FRANCISCO .. YOU ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LADY CITY OF THEM ALL  !

Two young men from Germany .. Joachim and Carsten .. were in my 6-man dormitory room at Fort Mason Youth Hostel .. so I said to them .. "Would you like me .. with my rental car .. to show you some of San Francisco?" .. they jumped up and said "Yes !" .. so out and off we all rode .. and I took some photos for YOU ALL ..

TO FEEL GOOD !  DO GOOD ! .. BREAKFAST AT JOHN'S OCEAN BEACH CAFE WHERE I HAVE BEEN GOING SINCE 1965 !

They are both AGE 24 .. maybe .. JUST MAYBE .. some far off day in the future .. they may recall .. "This man Cap took us for a tour of San Francisco .. at age 75 .. maybe WE CAN HAVE THE ENERGY HE HAS when we are age 75! "
