Patti and I continue to enjoy our stay here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Little did we know, in fact how could we ever have known, that our GMC Suburban (Black Beauty) would be stolen from in front of our Motel Room Door during the dark of night on Christmas Eve Day, December 24th.
Oh but the story does not end there, it continues forward because Black Beauty was recovered and is now back in our hands.
And now, thank you so very much Mr. Paul Harvey for the gift to us all of your life and for your coining the phrase..
THE REST OF THE STORY
The below photos (that you who are regular readers here have already seen) show the mess inside Black Beauty that I had to meticulously sort through and clean out.
As you all look at the mess in the below photos, the emphasis above is on the words meticulously sort through.
Now please get and stay with me, here. As I slowly and meticulously sorted through the above mess, it pretty much took me most of the day, Saturday the 1st of Janaury, Happy New Year 2022 Captain, I found the below item.
Some of you, maybe many or most of you perhaps, don't know what you are looking at in the above and below photos.
When you are playing a slot machine in a gambling casino, when you are finished playing, you cash out your winnings (if you have any that is) with a cashout voucher like you see below.
Do you get it? Black Beauty's car thief had been playing the slot machines in our local gambling casino The Havasu Landing Casino, and I found his cashout voucher.
Until we saw the above cashout voucher, Patti and I had absolutely no idea that here, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, there is a gambling casino.
So I said to Patti, let's go visit the Havasu Landing Casino.
We got online, found the casino (located IN the State of California), called it and we were told that it could be reached either by driving for an hour and a half one way or taking a very VERY pleasant ferry boat ride of 25 minutes.
So, on Sunday, January 2nd, out and off Patti and I went to find the ferry and visit the Havasu Landing Casino.
Our trip began at the parking lot.

Now the cost. Are you sitting down so you don't fall over and hurt yourself. Round Trip two dollars ($2) per person.
You purchase your ticket at a small ticket kiosk.

Oh My Patti, here comes the ferry boat.
We are now on board the ferry.
