Patti and I continue to enjoy our stay here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Little did we know, in fact how could we ever have known, that our GMC Suburban (Black Beauty) would be stolen from in front of our Motel Room Door during the dark of night on Christmas Eve Day, December 24th.
Oh but the story does not end there, it continues forward because Black Beauty was recovered and is now back in our hands.
And now, thank you so very much Mr. Paul Harvey for the gift to us all of your life and for your coining the phrase..
THE REST OF THE STORY
The below photos (that you who are regular readers here have already seen) show the mess inside Black Beauty that I had to meticulously sort through and clean out.
As you all look at the mess in the below photos, the emphasis above is on the words meticulously sort through.
Now please get and stay with me, here. As I slowly and meticulously sorted through the above mess, it pretty much took me most of the day, Saturday the 1st of Janaury, Happy New Year 2022 Captain, I found the below item.
Do you get it? Black Beauty's car thief had been playing the slot machines in our local gambling casino The Havasu Landing Casino, and I found his cashout voucher.
This will complete the first part of this two part series of Posts showing the Lake Havasu City ferry boat and our ride over to the Havasu Landing Casino on Sunday, January the 2nd.
That cashout receipt has enough info on it to possibly lead to a photo of the car thief. I would bet the cashout booth has security cameras. Probably not enough to prosecute, but enough to ID the guy. I doubt the cops are looking for him though, now that your vehicle is recovered.
ReplyDeleteThanks (as always Gullible) for your comment and interest. First, it was I who cashed in the cashout voucher. BUT even I know who he is (I have his full name on items he left behind and telephone numbers of some of his associates to boot) and more importantly so do the local police because he is on a multi-state crime spree. However, it is not enough to know who he is, there is the very real issue of FINDING HIM. And we all know the police have an absolute myriad of more important challenges in front of them on a daily basis. BUT, IF he slips up and get arrested for any other violation, and most of these bad actors do slip up sooner or later, even a domestic violence charge could hit him, then he may well be in trouble.
