BUSES BY THE BRIDGE - PART 3
Way back in PART 1, we showed the below sign..
When I saw the above disclaimer, and looked off into the distance at the (almost) five hundred VW Buses parked with people camping out, settling in and cooking, I wondered what on earth the above disclaimer (** ABSOLUTELY NO OVERNIGHT PARKING) meant.
I was told that people who did not officially sign up and register their vehicles for the event, but instead chose to park them in an overflow parking area (meant only for day visitors such as Patti and me) were not allowed by a local ordinance to overnight in the overflow parking area. I met one such visitor who told me he had chosen to sleep in a motel room and not in his VW Bus!
Several stayed at our motel.
Below are photos of the enormous overflow parking area. You can see some of the VW Buses on site that are not officially registered in the event.
The first three photos below show the size of the overflow parking area.
Now we'll see some VW Buses that parked outside the exhibition area.
Back into the heart of the exhibition we walk.

Just when you think that you have seen everything up pops a low rider VW Bus.
I absolutely and positively can't understand why someone would want a low rider VW Bus.
The below VW Bus looks exactly like the one I owned and drove for four years in West Germany from 1974 to 1978.
