DEC 23, 11 .. GOA .. ARAMBOL BEACH ..

Down in For What It's Worth.. 101 and 102 .. I took you all for a walk FROM my apartment out TO the main road in Arambol Beach .. OK.. now I am going to take you FROM the main road in Arambol Beach BACK TO my apartment .. in other words.. re-trace the journey back the other direction.. so here we go .. the first photo below is a repeat from the walk OUT FROM my apartment.. it shows the end of the walk.. across the street is the beach umbrella as a point of reference..

Now go straight ahead .. cross the street to the beach umbrella and then turn 180 degrees around and look back up the corridor down which we just came .. this is the starting point to go to my apartment from the main street in Arambol Beach.. the pink building at the far end is a good point of reference .. PLEASE NOTICE THE LAND MINE (Dad ! I am just an old .. dead .. tree stump .. I am NOT a 'land mine')  on the ground in the immediate foreground on the right side of the corridor.. in the dark of night that (words fail me) @#% will throw you on the ground RIGHT NOW without allowing you to pass 'GO' .. it is worse than dangerous !  IF you do not trip over it you risk stepping into it (look closely at its large hole) and wreaking havoc with a foot or ankle or knee or hip .. or spine ..I made this photo LARGE so you can really see this baby.. going in either direction it will getcha !

OK here we go .. the below photo shows a closer view of the pink building at the far end of the above photo .. it also shows the green screen visible as you come the other way to the main street ..

Now we walk straight ahead .. (where else are you going to walk captain .. give us a break here) .. and then turning left you look diagonally at your route between the pink buildings ..

Going forward we take a right turn and start between the two buildings .. ahead of us on the right .. the white building .. is the small and pretty chapel that I have shown you on the walk the other direction .. now we are going to walk past the very end of the white wall around the chapel ..

In the photo below we have  passed the end of the white wall around the chapel and .. after walking about twenty paces .. we turn to our right and look towards my building .. the blue building on the left side of the below photo.. in front of you is the area I lovingly call 'THE MINE FIELD' because at night .. that is what you have .. you MUST have a good flash light to walk through here in the dark of night .. one night I had forgotten my 'torch' and thank goodness I was CREEPING along because I nearly ran into a coconut palm tree TRUNK .. note they are close to the paths ..

 

Now I will walk you part way through the MINE FIELD to give you a very clear photo (see below) of what you do next .. straight ahead of you (with a coconut palm tree trunk directly in the middle of it in the above photo) you will notice a gate .. in the below photo the gate is prominent at the right side of the photo ..

Now you are going to go straight and then left at the gate to the end of the wall (see its yellow end) then you will turn right and go down a corridor as you pass my building .. the blue building on the left .. I will repeat all this in FWIW.. 107 below ..

DEC 23, 11 .. GOA .. ARAMBOL BEACH ..

OK I will repeat the last photo from above so you don't have to jump back and forth for reference .. my building is the blue building straight ahead of you .. we will now walk past the gate and go to the left end of the wall and stand at the yellow end of it on its far left..

Below is the final corridor down which I walk home through.. the ocean is straight (due west) ahead but you can not see it..

 Below we have come about half way down the corridor..  on your immediate left foreground .. its top being just visible against the corridor wall .. I want you to notice the couch I sit upon out in front of my apartment.. it is hard to see but there is a one foot gap between the wall and my building .. now we walk to the end and make a hard left and turn 180 degrees into my yard..

We now look at my building and part of my yard .. my apartment is on the left side of the building ..

 

Now we walk straight ahead and up the steps .. then turn 90 degrees to our left and look back at my couch .. WHAT .. WHAT do I see ON MY COUCH ..

This FELINE THINKS that IT owns MY couch .. and 'take that captain' ..

 Talk about a 'CAT NAP' .. you are looking at one.. and .. we are HOME .. from our walk..

DEC 20, 11 .. GOA .. ARAMBOL BEACH ..

OK.. in this set of photos .. we are going to take a walk FROM my apartment building .. TO the main street that runs through Arambol Beach.. NOTE: above in FWIW.. 107 and 108 .. I show the return walk ..


In the below photo .. my apartment is on the right and behind me as I shot the photo .. so we walk straight down the tile slabs on the ground and out the gate at the end of them.. when out the gate we are going to turn to our right and walk back towards my apartment building which will be on the right.. see the photo below this one .. I REALLY LIKE MY BACK YARD .. don't you ? ..

Now we walk straight down this narrow passageway .. as we do.. we go right past the wall of my apartment (the blue building on the right side).. here we go ..

In the below photo .. we have gotten to the end of the above corridor and turned to our left ..

Now we go straight about ten paces (down the wall on the left) and we then turn right 90 degrees and see what you see below.. the MINE FIELD .. especially at NIGHT .. we will now walk straight across the below open area ..

Now we have crossed  (the MINE FIELD) this non-descript open space .. see the bottom photo below to see this open area more clearly .. after crossing it we turn 90 degrees to our left (and we see the below view) ..   in the below photo on the left is visible part of a nice chapel back in the woods behind my apartment ..

Now we will walk straight ahead up this path shown in the photo above .. and we will come to the photo below ..

The chapel is on the left above .. now we will go down to FWIW.. 101.. below.. and continue our walk .. I will again show the above photo there to re-orient you to the next photos coming.. BUT below is a LOOK BACK WHERE WE JUST CAME FROM to give you a perspective of the open non-descript area I mention above..

See my blue apartment building on the left and rear of the above photo.. we just walked past it and then across this open area shown above.. the chapel is on the immediate right above..  IN THE PITCH BLACK OF A MOONLESS NIGHT .. WALKING ACROSS THIS OPEN AREA IS LIKE WALKING THROUGH A MINE-FIELD ! 

DEC 20, 11 .. GOA .. ARAMBOL BEACH .. A WALK ..

OK .. I am going to continue the walk from my apartment .. down to the main street that passes through downtown Arambol Beach .. then we are going to walk down the main street for a short distance .. here we go.. the below photo LOOKS BACK at my blue apartment building (on the left side of the photo) and shows where we came from in FWIW..  102.. above..

OK.. now we turn to our right 90 degrees and see the scene below .. I know I am repeating these two photos but they allow you to more closely relate to the ones that follow them below without you having to go back to FWIW.. 102.. above..

 In the above photo .. when you walk straight forward up the path in front of you .. in the distance you will walk between two buildings .. below is what you see as you walk between these two buildings..

Now we walk between the two buildings and look left at the scene below ..

Now walk to the green screen and go to your right and below is what you see straight ahead of you ..

If you 'squint' hard .. at the very end is a beach umbrella .. hard to see but you will see it clearly below .. in other words .. I will now walk straight down this narrow corridor to the main street at the end of this passageway and arrive close to where the umbrella is located .. here we go ..

See the beach umbrella across the street .. now we walk to the street .. and we turn 90 degrees to our left and see the below scene .. looking towards a 90 degree turn in the street .. see the small white car to the right lower center of the photo.. it is facing up the street we will walk to and start up ..

Now (in the below photo) we are looking up the main street that continues into Arambol Beach .. had I gone to my right (in the beach umbrella photo second photo above) .. I would have been heading for my Post Office.. I will take that walk in a future writing ..

Quite a distance ahead of you .. will be the scenes in FWIW.. 99.. and  FWIW.. 98.. below .. in FWIW.. 100.. immediately below.. you will see a beautiful small chapel that is in the above photo to the left a fairly short distance ahead of us ..
