JAN 12, 19 .. PARTING WITH KRASNOYARSK .. HOW SWEET IT HAS BEEN

At one time, admittedly, I had a negative attitude about our 'International' United States firms expanding out into all of the other countries on the Planet Earth to which they are able. I felt it was pure greed on their part.

Well, I suppose that, in the final analysis, it is pure greed or opportunism isn't it?

Did the CEO of McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Burger King, Papa Johns say to themselves : 

"I want all of the United States citizens who travel the world to feel-at-home wherever they travel because WE, McDonalds, KFC, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Burger King, Papa Johns will be there just for them!" Sometimes I, yours truly, hunger for a meal with McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Burger King, Papa Johns. 

And so it was today! I was pleased and I enjoyed my visit to my local Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Parlor.

"Dad! Oh Dad? You forgot to show us Dad!"

I arrived in the daylight. I left in the dark of a cold Krasnoyarsk night.

One last goodnight .. One last How Sweet It was.

The Happy Holidays are now about officially over.

Gord .. This one's for you my friend.

Gord 48025 asked me if I would post some photos of the interiors of some of the stores that I shop at.

No problem Gord. 

Here's the thing. I basically only shop at my local supermarket. I am not out 'shopping per se'. I am out to get what I need in the way of food. Were I to just go into a store and start to snap photos, there could be some questions from the store staff. In fact even in stores where I am purchasing items, from time to time, I am advised that store policy prohibits photos.

This is not unique to Russia. This has happened to me in the United States. Often in fact. Because I am active on Trip Advisor, I am often taking photos in restaurants and other Trip Advisor attractions.

So here we go with a photo shoot of my local super market.

Below is your view as you enter the store.

Notice, if you will, that there is only an escalator UP. You ride up and you walk down.

Not to worry. My super market is on the street / ground level. No stairs either up or down.

I am going so show a lot of photos. I hope you really look closely at them and not just skip down. What I want you to see is that this is an enormous and magnificent super market.
