You have to keep in mind that Woodward Avenue is NOT closed to the Public. So someone who "unwittingly" turned onto Woodward Avenue without realizing that The Dream Cruise was in progress, was in line for awhile.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is an annual automotive enthusiast event held in the northern suburbs of Detroit. Held each year on the third Saturday in August, the Cruise runs along Woodward Avenue, a major thoroughfare in the region, from Ferndale to Pontiac.

Our great friend from Laughlin, Nevada, Tom Tiger is back in Detroit visiting family and friends. 

Tom and his Grandson "Dec" are visiting the Dream Cruise today.

Tom's grandson is quite an athlete. Before the two of them headed over to check out The Dream Cruise, "Dec" played in a football game!

Now out and off to The Dream Cruise!

It is one, very nice day back in "The Motor City". Just a little bit "muggy" Tom said.

Tom, in a comment, pointed out that in the below photo you can see The Goodyear Blimp up in the sky.

AUG 31, 24 ( 1 / 3 ).. ARTS, BEATS and EATS.. LABOR DAY WEEKEND FESTIVAL, ROYAL OAK, MI.

Patti and I thank Tom Tiger, also lovingly known as 'Coney' Tom, Our Guest Contributor, who made this Post possible.

Here we all are! August is in its final moments. We are celebrating the Labor Day Weekend. Summer is over. Autumn nears. Children begin school.

My home town, Royal Oak, Michigan, celebrates a Labor Day Weekend festival titled: Arts, Beats and Eats. In 2010 the festival moved from Pontiac, Michigan South to Royal Oak.

AUG 17, 24 ( 4 / 4 ).. WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE.. THE BIG EVENT IS TODAY.. SATURDAY, AUGUST 17th..

Beginning this past Monday, August the 12th, a few Dream Cruise vehicles could be seen driving on Woodward Avenue, on the North Side of Detroit, Michigan.

Then each succeeding day this past week, a few more could be seen. Finally, by yesterday, only experienced Dream Cruise fans would know that all of many vehicles running up and down Woodward Avenue, did not mean THE Dream Cruise had begun.

Today IS THE Dream Cruise.

Yes indeed! Tomorrow there will still be a lot of vehicles running up and down Woodward Avenue but the Dream Cruise was today!

Once again, we all owe the four Dream Cruise 2024 photos and Posts to our friend Detroit Tiger Tom, who we also are calling 'Coney' Tom!

Tom Tiger absolutely loves his 'Coney' Dogs!

Could it be, that after Tom ate the two above 'Coney Dogs', he went out and lay down on the grass (see the first photo above). He sure looks 'satisfied' doesn't he?

Here we go Loop De Loop on Saturday the 17th of August, 2024, at the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise in the Northern area of Detroit, Michigan.

It looks to me like there was a 'Vintage Ford' group of enthusiasts on hand! 

Many Dream Cruise visitors watch the action from many view points. One Tom used was near the IHOP at the intersection of 12-Mile Road and Woodward Avenue.

No! As you can see in the below photos, very few people were in the IHOP! 

The Dream Cruise is 'some scene'!

And then THE 2024 Dream Cruise was over.
