NOV 4, 19 .. A SPECIAL, HAUNTING, MEMORIAL TO A LOVED ONE

Patti and I together share this most special moment and this most special memory. 

As the two of us, at ages 83 and 79, enter the 'end game' of life, the poignancy of such a Memorial reaches deep into our hearts and souls. We are at the stage of life when we are losing friends around us, so this Memorial is not some distant concept to be concerned about many years from now, this Memorial touches us in the here and now.

It is located in front of a very small church in Royal Oak, Michigan, where we own the home I was born into and grew up in. It is but a few blocks from us. The small church is in the home of a former High School classmate. So the small church is really personal to me.

Think about, treasure the below words. Hold those you love very close to your heart, we never know when we will lose them.

MAR 10, 15 .. A GAGGLE?? .. TOO MUCH FUN HERE IN HONG KONG ..

What do I see there in the distance here at the Hong Kong General Post Office?

Do I see a small 'Gaggle' up there. I wish Precocious the Canada Goose from Jack Miner's Bird Sanctuary was here! Precocious could discuss a 'Gaggle' with me!

Here in Hong Kong it is a dark gray cloudy overcast day with rain on the horizon. Our skies today look exactly like the sky in the below photo taken near Kingsville Ontario Canada last autumn.

Oh Hi Precocious! So good to see you because I have a question for you Precocious. 

But First! What exactly are you doing here in Hong Kong China Precocious.?

Well Dad .. To tell you the truth Dad .. It is a long and somewhat sad tale I have to share with you Dad. 

I have a minute Precocious.

Well Dad .. What is it you human beings always say .. A Photo speaks a thousand words!

Dad .. We-in-the-flock thought we were flying South to Florida for the winter. But it seems that some of our Leader Geese got involved in eating some fermented elderberries!

And here we are Dad! 

In Hong Kong China!

Oh My Precocious!  Hong Kong is NO place to Drink and Drug and Drive Precocious. Your leader Geese may need-a-meeting! 

Here in Hong Kong China they consider that Drinking and Drugs and Driving DO NOT MIX!

Do you suppose that the taxi driver was Drinking or Drugging and Driving?

The face on the side of the bus in the background sure looks upset doesn't it?

Where was I Precocious? Got it? What exactly is a 'Gaggle of Geese'?

Below is a small 'Gaggle' Dad.

It sure looks like it to me Dad! Here they come 'marching' Dad!

Dad! It IS a small 'Gaggle' of small human beings Dad!

Notice the young man at the head of the line wearing different clothing.

Are they cute or are they TOO CUTE!

I can just hear one of my many elementary school teachers practically shouting at me!

"Cappy! Turn around and Pay Attention!"

Now back to the young man leading the line I mentioned above.

It seems that this lad suddenly disappeared! .. Do you see the Teacher and the others looking for him up-ahead?

Oh there he is over there!

Yes! Over THERE!

What on earth is he doing!

I will never know just what it is he was doing at the mail counter!

Or exactly what it is that he came away from the counter with!

And back into the 'Gaggle' he came running!

And how special .. 

HOW VERY VERY SPECIAL IT WAS!! 

That not one single teacher or other adult was upset or put off by his adventuring!

IF I had felt comfortable doing so .. I would have interacted with the adults and found out what was going-on.

But I did not approach them and am happy that I was just an interested by-stander sharing a Day-In-The-Life of some wonderful children!

For each photo I have shown you .. I must have two or three that fell to the cutting room floor.

These children were not as stationery as they appear to be in the photos above. NO! As children they were active and busy and seemed to be moving all the time.

In case any of you are wondering Where On Earth do I come up with some of my Posts I plead no contest. I myself haven't a clue what is going to happen when I begin a Post.  Of course I KNEW I was going to show you all the above children. But a Canada Goose and a flock that had gone astray! I had to find the memory chip I shot last October in order to put the geese into this Post!

DEC 23, 11 .. GOA .. ARAMBOL BEACH ..

OK I will repeat the last photo from above so you don't have to jump back and forth for reference .. my building is the blue building straight ahead of you .. we will now walk past the gate and go to the left end of the wall and stand at the yellow end of it on its far left..

Below is the final corridor down which I walk home through.. the ocean is straight (due west) ahead but you can not see it..

 Below we have come about half way down the corridor..  on your immediate left foreground .. its top being just visible against the corridor wall .. I want you to notice the couch I sit upon out in front of my apartment.. it is hard to see but there is a one foot gap between the wall and my building .. now we walk to the end and make a hard left and turn 180 degrees into my yard..

We now look at my building and part of my yard .. my apartment is on the left side of the building ..

 

Now we walk straight ahead and up the steps .. then turn 90 degrees to our left and look back at my couch .. WHAT .. WHAT do I see ON MY COUCH ..

This FELINE THINKS that IT owns MY couch .. and 'take that captain' ..

 Talk about a 'CAT NAP' .. you are looking at one.. and .. we are HOME .. from our walk..

DEC 21, 11 .. CAP .. HUM-M-M-M

If you have been following along with me pretty much from the start here .. and I mean on http://babakaps.net .. my primary writing web site.. you KNOW how much I DISLIKE people who (I guess I need to qualify it in terms of life and spiritual and religious realms) come on 'as-if' they REALLY KNOW .. anything ..


Well .. I REALLY KNOW this : THE MORE I DO KNOW .. THE MORE I KNOW THAT I DON'T REALLY KNOW MUCH ..


Are 'others' who have passed-on trying to communicate with us.. no one knows .. 


This morning.. Wednesday the 21st of December, 2011 .. I was riding the local bus from Arambol Beach here in Goa to the neighboring town of Pernem .. and I mean ..


I WAS IN THE ZONE ..


The day was absolutely picture perfect.. it was early in the morning.. 9:45AM so the temperature was still fairly cool .. a nice breeze was blowing through the bus .. I had a seat and the bus was not jammed packed crowded .. life was.. at the moment .. a perfect '10' .. and I was feeling this great spiritual oneness with-it-all..


Then I felt 'something' fall into my upturned palm and I looked down..

 And there in my palm .. was the most beautiful and lovely white and pink flower petal .. now you tell me .. because to tell you the truth .. I DON'T KNOW .. was this some 'sign' from something that .. "Yes Captain .. everything IS all right " .. well it sure FELT like it was a sign .. so I shall take it as a sign .. and oh-by-the-way .. my day really did go phenomenally well ..
