AUG 22, 19 .. ' MY ' FLAT IN VLADIVOSTOK, RUSSIAN SIBERIA

Well, in the above title, it is not really 'my' Flat you understand. I am the guest of a friend here in Vladivostok and am staying with him.

Here is what 'my' building looks like.

OK. Please get with me now. I will point out 'my' bedroom window to you. In these photos, the left side is open.

In the above, and in the below photos, go to the far right side of the building. Now come across to the left, counting the three vertical rows of windows. Now go to the top of the third row of vertical windows and come down three windows.

It will be a strain, but in that window, at the extreme bottom, is my blaze yellow jacket. It shows up as just a small yellow line at the extreme bottom of the window.

If you look at the next photo below for 'my' bedroom window, you will see it since you know what you are  looking for.

'My' flat continues to the left of 'my' window. You can see the exterior balconies that front all of the flats.

In the bottom left of the above photo, you see the back side of the small building I show in the next two photos below.

Looking down at it from 'my' bedroom window.

This building immediately in front of 'my' building is a small convenience store with 5-Litre jugs of bottled water just for Your Captain.

More school-time for you. In the below photo, go to the extreme right edge of the building. Come left to the only vertical row of windows facing you. The third window down from the top is 'my' kitchen window.

The below photo was taken from 'my' kitchen window looking down at where I was standing when I took the above photo. In the below photo, I took the above photo standing beside the multi colored playground attractions in the lower right below.

We have now walked around to the far side of 'my' building and entered it.

In the distance you can see the elevator up the the 7th floor. How do you like the fact that I 'captured' the young man inside the elevator pressing a button?

We are now just inside of the entry door to 'my' Flat. I am calling below photo my point-of-reference.

To the left is 'my' bedroom.

To the right is the living room where my host is sleeping having given to me 'his' bedroom.

Into 'my' bedroom we walk. Notice I have two defenders in my room. Focus on the large brown chap on the left of the photo beside my bed and in front of the bookcase.

Do you suppose that the two of them read all of the books in the book case?

Well Hello, Alive And Up Close, The Two Of You.

I do not know his name. Nor do I know who the other chap is up and behind him.

Nice that I can have the window wide open for air.

Another look out of 'my' bedroom window.

Back to my point-of-reference. Now we go to the right into the living room.

In the background, you can see the balcony outside of the living room.

Below are the above two views taken in natural light.

In the next two photos, the balcony is to our back and we are looking at the other side of the living room.

While we are here, in the above photo, we are going to step through the door on the right.

Below we see the entryway hallway.

On the right side of the above and the below photos, the two doors open to the toilet and full bathroom.

In my point-of-reference photo below, you can clearly see 'my' bedroom, the living room and the two doors into the toilet and full bathroom.

In the above photo, out of sight, to the right behind the entryway closets, is the door into the kitchen.

Below you can clearly see the kitchen.

AUG 19, 19 .. NIZHNYAYA NABEREZHNAYA ANGARY .. IRKUTSK

Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya Angary!

Wow What A Name!

The above name is the name of an attraction that I reviewed on Trip Advisor.

I'll explain the name to you.

Here in Irkutsk, down beside a small part of the Angara River, there is a road.

The name of that road is : Ulitsa Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya.

In Russian, Ulitsa means Street.

So there you have it : Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya Angary simply means the Street Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya beside the Angara River spelled Angary in the above title.

I do not know, nor can I explain, why-on-Earth they spelled Angara as Angary!

Here are a few photos that I snapped along side of the Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya Angary.

In this first photo below, I am standing on a bridge that crosses the Ulitsa Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya.

In the photo you see the Monument to the Founder of Irkutsk and further up the road the Triumphal Arch Moscow Gates.

We are now going to continue walking across the bridge to the left and get to the walkway beside the Angara River you see on the left side of the above photo.

Below  you see the Angara River ahead of you. We will turn to our right when we get to the river.

The Angara River is straight ahead of you.

Ahead of us in the distance is the Cathedral of the Epiphany. One of many magnificent Russian Orthodox Churches here in, not only Irkutsk, but all over Russia.

Below is a link to Trip Advisor showing the Cathedral. My review dated May 3, 2019, is the third review down.

On Trip Advisor I am : Kanbaatar, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia.

In the below photo, on the right, the man standing with his rifle, you see the Monument to the Founder of Irkutsk.

Below is a little closer look at him.

To his right you see one of the towers of the Cathedral of the Epiphany.

Moving along. Below, in the distance, straight up the railing, you see the Triumphal Arch Moscow Gate.

As you can see in these photos, the Angara is one mighty river.

A photo of the Triumphal Arch Moscow Gates from the walkway.

Just because I think you are all so special, I waded out into the Angara River and shot the below photos of the Triumphal Arch Moscow Gates as you see it from the river.

"Captain!"

"Out-With-The-Truth! Some child may see this and actually think that you waded out into the Angara River to snap these photos."

"Patti and I took an Angara River Boat Cruise and I snapped these photos from the boat."

Oh why not? Below is a link to Trip Advisor for the Triumphal Arch Moscow Gates.

My review in the above link is fourth down dated March 4, 2019.

Where was I when the 'wheels just fell off '?

There a lot of Arctic Terns here in the summer. Sadly they have left to migrate South. But I got some good close up photos of several during my walk before they departed.

I do not have the camera that Gullible has. I really was close to these 'sassy' Arctic Terns.

On the walk, there is a 'nifty' little cave with murals you see below.

Below is BABR! The Mascot of Irkutsk.

A  photo of an Angara River Cruise Boat docked along the walk.

Well we are at the end of our little walk beside the Angara River.

We hope you enjoyed our walk.

Would any of you care to believe that I have an airplane to catch to Vladivostok in a few hours?
