The court yard outside of our apartment here at the VAILANKANNI Guest House is something special. This is an understatement.
The photos below will speak-for-themselves with a comment or two from me. I began standing in the NE corner of the court yard and snapped two photos. Then I walked to the SE corner .. to the SW corner and then to the NW corner snapping photos in each location. Then I went up on the roof and shot more photos.
Our apartment K-101 is to my back. The restaurant is in the left corner of the building straight ahead. Patti's court yard beds are to the left. The first photo below looks due West.
Below our apartment is on the immediate left. This photo looks due South.
From the SW corner our apartment is on the right behind the last purple door. This photo looks due North.
Below the corner of the restaurant is just to the left of the coconut palm tree in the center of the photo.
The restaurant is in the upper right corner of the below photo.
Patti and I sat at this table in the SE corner of the court yard until we relocated to the beds immediately outside of our apartment.
My post card writing was in progress.
The below photos look West down upon the court yard from the roof. The restaurant is on the right side of the below photo.
Looking down on the South side of the court yard.
Below are two night time photos of the exterior of the restaurant.
Basically the same photo. The above photo was with a flash and the below photo without a flash. Two different looks at the same venue. Interesting.
Looking due East at the South end of our building.
Our apartment is behind the small shrine.
A night photo of the above shrine.
The restaurant is behind me. The below photo looks diagonally SE. Our building is on the lower left below.
The next two photos below look East at our apartment.
Our apartment is the purple door on the left side.
Now I am up on the roof looking down at the court yard. Do all of you see Patti's day beds down on the right below?
Another view down showing Patti's day beds.
In these photos taken from the roof of the Guest House notice the blue netting that cover most of the court yard.
Well?
Do all of you know why the blue netting is covering the court yard? The photos below will give you a 'little hint'!
IF one of these coconuts falls from the tree and hits you in the head it could kill you! If a falling coconut hits you in the shoulder it could mean surgery to repair a rotator cuff.
Below is an interesting photo. Raj Kumar Sharma one of the employees here brought us the below coconut. Fascinating. Within each coconut Mother Nature gives a hopeful new tree everything it needs to begin a new life.
"Oh Dad! Why are you showing this very non-flattering view of me?" /s/ The VAILANKANNI Guest House.
Looking out towards the beach I reply .. "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! Your clothes line up on the roof is a very beautiful object of my affection."
"From my practical-point-of-view .. Your roof top clothes line is much safer to hang clothes than the clothes line down on the ground. People DO steal clothing!"
Below are a few scenes looking out towards the beach from the court yard.
The first two photos were taken from the ground.
The following four photos 'pan' from left to right and were taken from the roof of the Guest House.
Well?
Photographically speaking .. This is it for the VAILANKANNI Guest House.
Smiles from Patti and from Cap ..
