This post, part 4 of 4 posts, showing photos I snapped during THE 12th ANNUAL HAVASU BALLOON FESTIVAL, here in Lake Havasu City, AZ, will wrap up this series of posts.
It sure was a fun adventure. As you perhaps have seen in parts 1 and 3, I was proud to have been an active volunteer in this years festival.
In parts 2 and 3 you have seen a number of photos showing the Hot Air Balloons up in the sky. Let me assure you, it is quite a process to get these balloons launched and up into the sky. Below I will show photos of this process.
To begin with, you need a large, open field. As fate would have it, just a short few blocks from our apartment is one of the fields (there are several) where a number of the balloons were launched.
The balloons are transported in trailers.
To see the process of launching the balloons, we get up close-and-personal.
The balloons look like this as they are pulled from their trailers.
There was just too much going on for me to capture each and every step in the process. Spectators respectfully stepped back and away from the balloon crews.
Another balloon launch.
Thanks for the memories !
