No..
No..
NO!
Boys and Girls, Ladies and Gentlemen, Sports Fans everywhere, it is NOT (as the above title states) September the 12th, 2017.
It IS Saturday, it IS October the 26th year 2019.
I have been here on my blogspot website trying to decide where to go next with regard to blogspot posts. It looks like I will finish writing about Irkutsk, Russian Siberia and posting photos there of.
Now..
THE REST OF THIS STORY
On September the 12th 2017, Patti and I were in the small city of Iron Mountain, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We were staying at a Super 8 Motel and had gotten to be friends with the manager. Literally, as we were leaving, he asked us if we would come into his office and if he could have a photo with us. Of course we obliged.
Then I suddenly thought to ask him if he would shoot a photo or two of Patti and I together.
He obliged and snapped the below five photos.
Then in order to save them I asked him if I could immediately upload them onto my website here and we did.
In 20-20 hindsight (which is absolutely useless) I should have had him snap the below photos with MY camera. Then I would have had them for future reference.
So the below five wonderful photos of us have been sitting for over two years in a draft format.
"What to do?" I pondered.
Deleting the draft and losing them forever was not even a consideration.
So I am publishing them.
Here we go loop-di-loop!
Like I've said many times, you have no idea of what's coming next in my posts because I myself have no idea of what's coming next.
This I know, publishing the above photos was the 'right call'.
Cap and Patti
Enjoyed seeing the photos from Iron Mountain, Michigan. Nice motel manager who took those pictures. It was fun to learn that Gillible's mother was born in Iron Mountain. That was a great trip on the Upper Peninsula. We have so many wonderful memories! Smiling and sending hugs. Patti
ReplyDeleteIt was a great visit to Iron Mountain, Michigan, as we were coming East after our little visit to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Making lemonade out of a potentially disturbing medical issue of mine. John the manager was a very nice man. Yes it was fun to learn Gullible's mother was born and raised in Iron Mountain. A new place and area for us to explore. I could not just delete these great photos. Much love .. Cap
DeleteGreat photos of you both. Doesn't seem like it's been two years since we met up in MN ! Love- Tom "tiger"
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, Detroit Tiger Fan for Life. It sure was two years ago Tom, when we met up in Minneapolis in late August 2017. We then got you on a flight back to Detroit and then down to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Patti and I went to deal with my left kidney issues. Thanks for your comment Tom. Cap
DeleteWow. Patti reminded me that the day after we met up in Minneapolis, we three drove South from Minneapolis to Rochester and there in Rochester, we put you on the plane for (I think) Chicago and Detroit. I could not quite figure out us taking you to the Minneapolis airport to fly to Detroit and Patti corrected me on it. Cap
