Both Patti and I know!
Yes Oh Yes! We both fully understand that this first snow will not "last" too long..
BUT this does not change the fact that it IS indeed our very first snow of the Winter 2023 - 24 up here in Anchorage, Alaska, and it was significant, it was not a mere "dusting" of snow.
Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 11:04 pm (2304 hours) Patti noticed outside of our Condo that it was snowing.
Outside I went and snapped the first four photos you see below.
Then we two "went to bed".
Thursday, October 12th, 2023, beginning at 9:13 am (0913 hours) I snapped the following photos.
Our view from our living room.
Our view from our bedroom.
Our first snow as seen from our front porch.
Beginning at the left and "panning" to the right. Our Chevrolet Suburban.
Well Hello! Good day to you our First Snowman!
Yes Indeed you ARE very VERY cute.
There you have it, our first snow of the winter.

BBBRRRRRRRRR The sight of snow is making me cold. I think I will put on a sweatshirt and make a cup of tea. Seriously, when I lived in North Dakota, I remember being grateful for winter because I didn't have to mow my huge lawn anymore. Then after shoveling (when the snow was too wet to use the snowblower, wetter=heavier) and snow blowing my 75 ft driveway and sidewalks innumerable times, I would be praying for spring to arrive soon. The circle of life in a true winter.
