RAIN?..
IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA! ..
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024!
The rain actually was a very pleasant experience!
Here we go Loop De Loop with a few (I promise) photos.
Our street. A rainy day.
Our Street. A sunny day.
Our Apartment Parking Lot.
Oops!
Do all of you see the sun and the blue skies "lurking" in the distant background of the below photo?
Well "Guess What"?
By the end of the day, "the sun won out" over the days rain!
Now for a "look see" at the nice patio outside of our apartment.
I've always wondered how long it takes for all carpets and bedspreads TO DRY OUT AFTER THE RAIN? I asked my friend, who now lives in Austin.: WHO cleans all the bedding and blankets if it starts to rain? She told me an incredibly STRANGE THING: no one! They dry themselves after the rain in the sun. Then one more question, but how to use THIS PLACE with soaked mats and carpets?...
ReplyDeleteNow, based upon your below comment, we now know this is YOU, Olga From Chita! As I said in my reply below, it is amazing that you figured out how to go from Anonymous to Olga From Chita. Yes, evaporation takes place and things that get wet from a rain storm will (eventually) dry out depending upon how much air circulation they get. You just step on the soaked mats and carpets. Many are designed for outdoor use. Thanks Olga for your interest and your support! Cap and Patti
DeleteThank you very much, dear Cap and Patti for the explanation. It's REALLY interesting to learn about such a way of action in similar situations. ♥ In Russia there is ALWAYS SOMEBODY who is responsible for taking away the things which can get wet from their nirmal places...
DeleteI hope I understood your explanation correctly... ☺
It's a pitty, I couldn't guess how to change the "Anonimous" button....
ReplyDeleteWow Olga! Based upon this comment (Olga From Chita) you did figure out how to change from Anonymous TO Olga From Chita. Now THAT Olga is something! Many people are not able to leave any comments let alone figuring out how to enter their own name. Smiles .. Cap and Patti with me
DeleteBoy, did we get some rain, or what? Much needed in these dry deserts! The drive to L.V. had some heavy rains for part of the way but at night it's difficult to say the least to predict the direction or duration. Regardless, it came down with a ferocity! A welcomed and much needed reprieve. The desert flora and fauna will come alive over the next days and week! I wasn't expecting the chilly temps that arrived along with the rains. Accuweather reports 38° here this morning! Brrr! It will be a while before it warms up enough to get Little Bit down to the Channel for her morning walk. My Alaska guest arrived late last night. We followed your suggestion and stopped at the mtg. in Searchlight. Good mtg, small but we all got to share. As Charlie is the guest from Alaska, Dick asked him to chair. Good mtg, new friends everywhere. We got home to my place close to midnight. I'm already for another morning power nap! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a Truly Blessed morning, my precious Cap and Patti!
Whewie Michael. We were very happy when you texted us today (Thursday the 4th of January) letting us know you arrived home to Lake Havasu City safe and sound and tired out! Yes the deserts need the rain. Interstate 40 in Williams, Arizona, was shut down and closed due to so many vehicle off onto the shoulders of the Interstate. Wouldn't you think drivers would SLOW DOWN !! Happy also to hear you attended the meeting in Searchlight, Nevada!! The meeting we were there was a full house, maybe 18 members in attendance. Thanks for your interest and for your comment Michael. Cap and Patti
