JAN 17, 26.. VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION DAY FOR THE 2026 HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL..

Today, Saturday the 17th of January, at 9am this morning, Patti and I went down to register me as a volunteer for my 4th Lake Havasu Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Volunteer registration is fun even though it borders, as you will see in the below photos, on being somewhat of a crowded and hectic scene.

Here we go, about to enter "The Mad Frey" inside.

Deep Breath!

JAN 15, 26 (1 / 2).. VW BUSES BY THE LONDON BRIDGE.. LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA

 The 28th Annual (they are Volkswagen) Buses By The Bridge (the London Bridge here in Lake Havasu City) began today, Thursday, January the 15th, 2026.

Earlier today we published a Post on our "dotnet" website. You may, and again, you may not have read this Post. If you care to check it out, please click onto the below link.

Here we go, driving up to the main entry to sign in and enter the grounds.

Before you even get to the main entry, VW Buses are lined up alongside of the entry road.

Now we are almost to the main entry.

In my humble opinion, for the very small fee of $5, you gain access to the grounds that is good for all four days of the festival!

In the two below photos, you can see, almost in the center, our black GMC Suburban. 

Beautiful Lake Havasu is visible in the far distance.

JAN 15, 26 (2 / 2).. VW BUSES BY THE LONDON BRIDGE.. LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA

 Here we are, back for Part 2 of this 2 Part Post showing far too many photos of Volkswagen Buses here at their 28th Annual Festival here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

By the way, when Patti and I drove back to the festival grounds this evening, they had 568 VW Buses registered in the festival. The farthest so far was from Michigan. That surprised me because I felt there would be some here from the East Coast.

Beautiful Lake Havasu.

I will continue by visiting the far end of the festival grounds that is defined by the below miniature Lighthouse.

And below, here comes the Lake Havasu Ferry Boat Tecopa on its way across Lake Havasu to the Havasu Landing Resort and Casino.

Below is a photo of the above lighthouse that I snapped from the Ferry Boat as I was aboard heading over to the Havasu Landing Casino.

Why was I going over to the Casino?

To visit both Rocky and Wonder Woman, two slot machines.
