MAY 16, 16 .. NEW DELHI THEN HONG KONG

This Post will close out the series of Posts that I have published about the trip to India Patti and I enjoyed.

We left Hong Kong on December 31st, 2015 and returned to Hong Kong on February 18th, 2016.

The time has come for us to leave Agra Cantt and head for New Delhi on the train. After a few days in New Delhi we traveled onward to Hong Kong.

Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall the trains in India are intense.

The next time YOU are on a trip and YOU think that YOU have it bad, maybe you can come back to a few of the above photos for a 'check-up-from-your-neck-up' !

Jeevan came with us to the train. He brought a wonderful bouquet of flowers for Patti. I took several photos of Patti and Jeevan with her lovely flowers. Not one of them turned out.

When we boarded the train in Agra Cantt our reserved seats were occupied.

I said something (What it was I'll never know. Do you remember Patti?) and all of the surrounding passengers just about fell out of their seats laughing. From that instant onward the trip was a joy. I snapped a lot of photos. Two turned out worth publishing.

For the first time in all of my years riding India's trains, along with Patti who did NOT eat, we sat at one of the group tables in the center of the train coach we were on.

The train up to New Delhi from Agra Cantt arrives in the dark of night about 11:30pm. We got an auto rickshaw to the New Delhi YMCA. I had to assist our rickshaw driver in getting us to the 'Y'.

The New Delhi YMCA is one fantastic venue. Not only is it a very nice hotel, they host a wide variety of community outreach programs. Luckily Patti and I were able to see one of them live up-close and in person.

Looking down upon the festivities.

"Patti I think that I will go down and join them."

"Oh Cap! How nice! Finally! After all of the years that we have known one-another and been together you are going to break out of your shell of isolation!"

In the below photo, IF you know what your are looking at, you can get a glimpse of Patti in the window up on the 2nd floor.

There was an almost-constant sound of drums beating. Notice in the below photo a sign in the background.
A close-up photo of the above sign.

Nice! Really and truly nice!

It looks like there is going to be a show up on the stage.

The group below were evidently discussing their upcoming performance.

I followed them out to the back of the main venue and watched them practice their routine.
I was so deeply 'touched' by this. Do you understand how badly they wanted to be sure their routine was successful in their own opinions?

Last but not least .. I just loved these youngsters.

A personal note to Gullible and to Shaddy and to all other bloggers. I so envy all of you. I KNOW in my heart-of-hearts that each and every single one of you would make one pass through the above proceedings. You would take all of your photos in order and when it came time to post them it would take all of you ten to fifteen minutes at the maximum because they would all be sequentially in the proper order. I jump all over the place. Not one follows the next and I play holy you-know-what when I have to organize and publish them. I so envy you all!

"Patti! We have got a plane to catch! Hong Kong is calling to us! Come home!"

The Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal.

When Patti saw the above elephants she fairly squeeled ..

"Oh look! There are Jeanne's elephants."

It was a good flight.

Hello Hong Kong.

I've said it before. I'll say it again. International travel is not for everyone. Patti and I had seats on the bus into the terminal.

At this point in my life entering Hong Kong is getting to be old-hat.
The airport express is a fine way to go into the city. Not the only way because there are many other ways. Perhaps the airport express is the easiest and best way however.

You pay nothing extra for a shuttle bus to your hotel. Hong Kong has got-it-figured-out!
Homy Inn you look so good.

Well unless I suddenly find a batch of missing photos or I have forgotten something important I will now declare:

That is That for Patti and for Cap. Our trip to India began on December 31st, 2015 and was completed on February 18th, 2016.

With Joy .. Patti and Cap

Whew! Wowie! Were any of you wondering when or IF I was ever going to finish writing about our India trip!
