Many, if not all, major cities have their 'signature' park. New York has Central Park. San Francisco has Golden Gate Park.
Here in Irkutsk, Russian Siberia, their 'signature' park is Kirov Square.
If you would like to see maps showing the location of the square, just click onto the below link:

The time has come to show you some photos.
In the first photo below, Patti and I are about to cross the street and enter the square at its Southwest corner.
We have crossed the street and we are now in the square.
You can't visit Kirov Square without noticing the Hotel Angara (АНГАРА). It is really a landmark.
In the distance is another prominent feature of the square, the fountain.
We will walk up to the fountain and see it up-close and personal.
In the next two photos below, we have the fountain at our back and are looking North up the square.
Several general views of the square.
In the lower left of the above photo is a public toilet. Clean and very handy.
In Kirov Square there is a model of what Irkutsk looked like in the early 1900's.
All good things must come to an end and it is time to leave Kirov Square and head back to our flat. The final two photos look South from the South end of the square.
Hugs and Smiles .. Patti and Cap
"Patti!"
"Yes Cap?"
"Do you see what I see? Right across from the square!"
Our tuna foot long was oh so very good.
