JUN 25, 21 .. GILA BEND, AZ .. 911 MEMORIAL

 Let's begin by showing you where Gila Bend, Arizona, is located.

Just in case you don't have a basic knowledge of the Spanish language, Gila Bend is pronounced as Hee laa, Bend.

I date back to December 1963 into February 1964 as to visits to, and passing through, Gila Bend. Patti and I date from March of 2018 having passed through Gila Bend en route from Phoenix to Yuma, Arizona, several times including this past April 2021.

We can't idly assume that each and everyone who happens upon our website knows what the 911 Attack was. The below link will fill you in.

It is amazing to us that the small town of Gila Bend has a 911 Memorial. It deeply touches our hearts when we visit the Memorial.

It brings tears to our eyes.

The 911 Memorial is located at 201 East Pima Street (AZ highway 85 and I-8 business route).

The below photos were taken walking around Gila Bend's piece of steel from the World Trade Center's Twin Towers.

The Gila Bend 911 Memorial truly is a beautiful work of art and a wonderful place to visit.

JUN 21, 21 (2 / 2) .. PATTI'S FLOWERS .. SUMMER 2021 ..

 Here we go with the wrap up of Patti's Summer of 2021 flowers on our Condo porch.

Part 1 of 2 showed the first stage.

After planting the flowers she got during her first flower shopping trip, Patti was then able to accurately purchase the additional flowers that she needed to complete her project.

Back to our local Home Depot.

Lovingly and carefully Patti shopped for exactly which flowers she needed.

Below are the flowers she picked out to complete her project. I was surprised at how few she needed on our second flower shopping trip.

Below you see the above flowers, set out on our Condo porch, ready to be replanted into their Summer homes.

Now the work begins.

In the next two photos below, you can see the 'vacant' area in the one flower box that Patti will place additional flowers to complete its flower arrangement. This is her only hanging plant this summer.

There is quite a bit of work involved in this process!

And now he (or is it she) is hanging above the rest of the flowers.

Onward Patti continues with the other planter boxes.

Voila ! Completed !

A last overview of Patti's flowers for the Summer of 2021.

It gives us a tug of our hearts to realize, that at our ages, neither of us know for sure what next Summer will bring us.
