JAN 28, 20 .. NACHOS IN PHOENIX

After completing our Mayo Clinic medical appointments today, Patti and I stopped by and re-visited with an old friend that dates back three years to January of 2017, Carlos O'Brien's. There we enjoyed a plate of Carlos O'Brien's nachos.

We love the exterior ambiance of the restaurant.

We really enjoy the desert scenery that surrounds the restaurant.

What an outstanding day here in Phoenix, Arizona.

When you see the order or nachos, you too will wonder why on earth they served us 'chips-and-dip' but we ate them all.

JAN 27, 20 .. HONG KONG (1) IS HERE IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA

Here we are in Phoenix, Arizona, as Mayo Clinic patients with medical challenges. We have now been here at Mayo Phoenix three times: 

November 28, 2016 to February 7, 2017 a long visit in excess of two months when I fell in the Dubai Airport and broke my left hip. 

February 6, 2018 into March 2018.

This visit.

So we 'know' this area pretty well. This afternoon, after we were finished at the Mayo Clinic for-the-day, we stopped at one of our favorite restaurants for Hong Kong Style Singapore Rice Noodles.

The Singapore Rice Noodles at George & Sons is equal to, or better than, that in Hong Kong itself.

JAN 22, 2O .. FROM ALASKAN WINTER TO NEVADA WINTER ..

Just a real quick look at the difference between our winter in Alaska (one short week ago) and our winter here in Nevada.

Notice on the right side of the below photo, our room had windows that opened to let the air enter our room. In the distance you see the Colorado River that separates Nevada and Arizona.
