JAN 7, 20 .. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES YEAR 2019 .. RUSSIAN SIBERIA .. PART FOUR OF ?? PARTS

Here we go with Part FOUR, a few more Memories of Russian Siberia during our visit last year.

"We have a question Captain? Did you see any Russian Siberian Husky Dogs?"

"Oh My! Yes Indeed! We saw many Russian Siberian Husky Dogs."

In Russia they are simply called Huskies. Only here in the U.S. do we tack-on the name Siberian Huskies.

Have a look at the below dog team.

Now we will show photos of a visit to a kennel. The Kennel Lady opened up the kennel at the end of the day especially for us! This was one of the highlights of our entire visit to Russian Siberia.

"Dad, if I try really hard, do you think that I could become a real Husky?"

Let's go from dogs to seals.

LISTVYANKA, RUSSIAN SIBERIA.

Below are a series of photos taken during a visit to the City of Listvyanka, Russian Siberia.

We visited a Seal Nerpinarii (НЕРПИНАРИИ) to see trained seals perform.

NO PHOTOS OF THE SEALS WERE ALLOWED!

At the above point of the show, the Narrator turned to his left to get some toys for the seals and he spied yours truly. He very politely asked that I stop taking photos. I smiled and put my camera away.

We loved the show and were happy we visited it.

We hope that the above and below photos show how wonderful and pleasant our visit to Russian Siberia was.

A BASIC OUTDOOR MARKET

Let's now jump from the above OUTDOOR MARKET in Listvyanka to another major trip highlight.

CHITA, RUSSIAN SIBERIA

Our translator in Chita was a Russian lady who was an English Teacher. She said it was a dream of hers for us to intermingle with some of her students and asked if we would be willing to do so.

We jumped at the opportunity.

First we met with the students she was tutoring in an English Club. We spent one hour with them and it was 'beyond wonderful'.

You have got to realize that the Russians are so much like we are. Real people. Real characters. Below are two photos of one of our translators associates in the English Club.

Then we went 'big time'. She arranged for us to meet another much larger group in the Chita Library.

As I was snapping the above photos, I had a 'sinking feeling' that our tutor's anticipted crowd was not going to materialize and the event would fall flat.

Oh My!

Suddenly!

In the crowd marched!

A few of the attendees wanted a photo with us.

The above two events are without a doubt major trip highlights for Patti and me.

This will be 'it' for Part FOUR.

Yes there will be a Part FIVE.

  1. Enjoyed seeing the dogs again, but don't remember seeing the seals before. Out Door Market I remember and I believe you posted more photos of the English Club groups than you did originally. Thanks for your postings, Gord

  2. And THANK YOU GORD for your comment. No question that many of the photos I am showing in the summaries have been posted before. But not everyone has read every post so some photos are new to many people. We loved the seals and the English students. We also really loved the dogs. Much Joy .. Cap and Patti

  3. You two are so personable, you are treated with great respect and admiration. It's only right because you are respectable and admirable. And you are always eager to be of assistance whenever possible.

I love the beautiful dogs and the market. I couldn't believe all the fish on display among many other awesome items including jewelry.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your adventures. Truly, they are amazing.

    1. Yes, truly our adventures are amazing even to the two of us. The town of Listvyanka lies on the shore of Lake Baikal a famous lake, not only Russian Siberia, but in the world. So there is fishing activity in Lake Baikal. In these summaries, I have chosen not to go into such detail because just getting the photos together is quite a task AS YOU YOURSELF WELL KNOW. Thanks for your kind comment. Cap and Patti
