In Part 1 of this two-part-post I showed the exterior of THE BLUE SKY. Part 2 is not extensive but I want to show you photos of the lobby because I often frequent it.
From across Peace Avenue looking South you see the main entrance to THE BLUE SKY.
As you look up and are about to enter the lobby you see the proper name of the building.
THE BLUE SKY Hotel and Tower ..
As you step into the lobby you see the below. Because THE BLUE SKY itself is narrow .. so too is the lobby area.
Looking to your left in the above photo you see the front-desk. I cannot emphasize too strongly how polite, courteous and friendly the front-desk staff have always been to me. I have become a regular visitor to the lobby.
Turning to your right as you enter THE BLUE SKY is a very pleasant waiting area.
This is my safe-haven in downtown Ulaanbaatar.
Going straight to the right-hand corner in the above photo and standing with my back to the Captain's Chair I snapped the below photo looking back at the main entrance off Peace Avenue.
You can see the Captain's Chair in the left corner below from which I snapped the above photo.
Standing with my back against the front desk and looking West at the waiting area you see the below scene.
In the below photo I have gone back to the entry door and stepped off to my left. Looking diagonally back at the waiting area you see the two below views.
Looking up you see the beautiful entryway chandelier.
I so enjoy this quiet waiting area as I wait for friends to meet me. Sometimes I just need to sit down and relax. If I need to make phone calls it is quiet with great cell-phone reception. Finally I have access to absolutely spotless restrooms that I will show further below.
Back to the front desk.
Notice the doorway to the left of the front desk.
This is an entrance into a lovely dining area that I show below.
Turning to your right from the above you find the bar below.
I slipped into the dining room and enjoyed a nice visit.
A nice half sandwich with fries cost 6,500 Mongolian Tug or US $ 3.27 not bad for a great snack.
Now I am going to return to the view as you enter the main entryway off Peace Avenue.
Going straight down the hallway you find the restrooms off to the right.
Immaculate is an understatement!
Continuing down the hallway you come to a second waiting area at the South entrance.
The first photo below looks back North at the main entry off Peace Avenue.
I am here to shout that everything is absolutely spotless!
The above and below photos show the South entry waiting area.
Below is 'My Table' where I love to write and to send YOU post cards.
I really enjoy THE BLUE SKY Hotel and Tower ..
In my next post I will show you photos of Sukhbaatar / Chinggis Khaan Square.
Smiles .. Kanbaatar .. or .. Cap if you like ..
I look forward to being in The Blue Sky Hotel and Tower in a little over a month from now! What an awesome building ... outside and inside. It truly is a "landmark". Hugs. Patti
