Patti and I pulled out of Lompoc California today at 12-noon and drove to Barstow California in California's high desert.
We came the 'Zilla way (across the North side of the Mountains that encircle Los Angeles) that I detailed in my last Post. At the bottom of this short Post I will give you a link to click onto if you want to refresh your memories.
This evening, after we checked into our motel room, Patti and I were exploring the Barstow Library, suddenly Patti said ..
"Just look at the sunset!"
The sun was setting and thus creating differing exposures on these photos. Five minutes later and we would have missed all of it.
We hope you liked the sunset in Barstow and California's High Desert.
Smiles .. Cap and Hugs .. Patti
Today's drive was 251-miles. It took us right at 6-hours with several stops-en-route to relax.
Our route was : Lompoc South to Santa Barbara then to Ventura. Then East from Ventura to Santa Clarita to Palmdale to Victorville. Finally the last 30-mile leg North on I-15 to Barstow.
Just in case you want to see the maps I posted of the route from Victorville to Lompoc, just click onto the below link.
smart route. Stay out of LA proper, if possible ! Tom Tiger here, checking in from R.O. Library. Snowing outside the Eleven Mile rd. window at the moment. 3-4 inches ( my rough est. ) on the ground. I will call you later this evening
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Tom for following along here and supporting our efforts on this website. Good to talk yesterday evening for quite a long visit. Smiles .. Cap and Patti
