I was walking along the Riverwalk one day when instantly, IT happened.
"WHOA! What is this?" I thought to myself when I saw a small boat navigating along the Riverwalk.
I grabbed for my 'ever-present' Nikon Coolpix point-and-shoot camera and I pointed and I shot the below photo!
Then I thought to myself, "I am going to look into a Riverwalk Excursion Boat Ride!"
RIVERWALK WELCOME CENTER
You purchase your ticket-to-ride an Excursion Boat in the Riverwalk Welcome Center.
Honoring our veterans sure is special here in Pueblo.
There really is some economic principle that says it is good NOT to overprice your product.
Five Dollars ? $5 ? Are you kidding me ? For one really great Excursion Boat Ride!
"Five Dollars? You must be kidding me?"
"No Sir. Five Dollars for a 20-minute ride."
I gave our Skipper a $5 tip when our ride ended.
Let's not forget.
It is a beautiful Welcome Center!
In the below photo, notice that the Skipper pilots the boat from the rear.
Below you can see the Skipper's office and her 'work desk'.
"Hot Diggety Dog! I can hardly wait to get underway!"
In the below photo, I am facing the back of the boat. So when I turned around to look in the direction we were moving, I had to 'sit' kind of side-saddle. I was in the very front of the boat.
Perfect for photos. It pays to be early.
'Anchors Away Mate', we are underway.
Under the South Union Avenue bridge we cruise.
There is Angelo's Pizza Parlor on the left.
Up close and very personal with the beautiful waterfall.
Under the South Main Street Bridge we glide.
We see the same view (above) from our boat and (below) looking down from the South Main Street Bridge.
Below we have turned to the right.
I had not, until today, Sunday the 4th of June, walked around this arm of the Riverwalk on foot.
This is all new to me. I feel like running out now and exploring it on foot.
Obviously there is a small waterfall past the below footbridge.
STOP THE PRINTING PRESS RIGHT HERE CAPTAIN!
Today, Sunday the 4th of June, this very morning, out and off I went to explore this area on foot.
Let's go back to one of the above photos.
Below are today's photos of the above 'island' as viewed from the shore on foot!
Now we will look again at two more of the above photos a second time.
Today Your Captain explored the other side of the above two photos. Photos that clearly show me that something is happening on the other side.
Looking downstream from the above footbridge.
Below is yet another photo that we saw above. What could that circular blue 'thing' possibly be?
Below we are going to look at the other side of the circular blue 'thing'.
All bets are off. I just began to shoot photo after photo.
Below is the very end of the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo.
And I kept shooting photos.
WE ARE BACK IN THE EXCURSION BOAT.
The above bridge from land.
Are any of you beginning to see why I am in love with Pueblo, Colorado?
You all guessed it. Yes! I also did a photo shoot of the above building this morning.
We are now back into civilization after our boat ride out into the wilderness zone of the Riverwalk.
We are now docked. The good memories will now begin and last perhaps a lifetime.
Lord God In Heaven Above .. Creator of Heaven and Earth ..
Just once in this lifetime will you whisper into my ear, say as I was fighting with the weather in Raton Pass ..
As we, you and I God, camped out in Trinidad, Colorado.
Or did I not hear you God whispering to me ..
"My Little Captain, we are not yet where we are going. So just continue to go a little further North to Pueblo."
Truly I am One Deeply Blessed Man.

What a bargain ($5) for your ride on the Excursion Boat! The gondola also looked enticing ... Pueblo just keeps on giving ... Smiles, Patti
