Patti and I were the personal guests of a former Director of the Botanic Garden. We spent three hours visiting the garden.
As you may well imagine, winter is not the perfect time to visit a garden such as this. Our friend promised us a springtime visit in a few months.
The first photos below show the entrance area to the garden.
By the way, in the below photo, the cyrillic letters 300 spell the word ZOO. You can see by the four photos of animals that it is referring to the zoo.
Now we will step out into the garden area proper.
Now we will go 'indoors' and see more features of the garden.
Well! Here is something very different in the garden! Some prehistoric displays.
Amazing that we have proof that these colossal giants once roamed our earth!
Talk about a prehistoric fossil, will you just look at the size of the below dragonfly!
Now! Wonder of Wonders.
There is a real Zoo within the garden for animal viewing and interactions with children.
Another look at the main entrance to the gardens.
A map of the Zoo area. As I said above, in the cyrillic alphabet the 300 below spells ZOO.
There is a very modest charge to enter the Zoo. As guests of the Director of the garden we were not charged any fees.
Now we get to the animals.
Below is an outdoor area for groups to meet to conduct various activities.
This is the end of Part 1 of 2.
Take a break. Come back and scroll down to Part 2 of 2 next.
We will see you below.
