Yesterday, Patti and I drove North from Lompoc, California, up to Morro Bay to visit a long term friend and her daughter. Our round trip covered just over 140 miles and the weather was wonderful. Cool and sunny at the same time.
When we reached their home, the first thing I asked of Patti and our hosts was: "Please do not let me leave Morro Bay without visiting the famous Morro Rock!"
"Let's go right now!" replied our hosts.
So out and off the four of us drove to see and to explore Morro Rock.
The below link will show two maps of Morro Bay to help orient you to our visit.

To begin with, I'll show a relatively close-up photo of Morro Rock so you can get a good idea of what we are going to see up close and personal.
Now that you have a clear idea of what you're about to see, we'll view Morro Rock from a distance.
Now we'll view Morro Rock from another distant viewing point.
The next four photos 'pan' from left to right.
The time has come to get up close and a bit more personal with Morro Rock.
Morro Rock is within the Morro Bay (California) State Park.
Out to Morro Rock we proceed.
Whoa!
Do we see desert Cacti beside Morro Rock and the Pacific Ocean?
We'll conclude our visit to Morro Rock with a look out at the Pacific Ocean. In the below photo the Rock is to our right.
Our visit to Morro Rock is complete and we hope you all enjoyed our photos.
