Here we have Part 5 of a series of posts with a look back at when we were in Hong Kong one year ago today, July 16, 2019.
So far we've re-visited the Star Ferries (Part 1), Victoria Harbor (Part 2), some Hong Kong Buildings (Part 3) and Victoria Peak (Part 4).
RESTAURANTS.
Hong Kong is an absolute dining paradise. We have fond memories of our many meals we have shared together. Below are but a few of them.
JOY CUISINE (Chinese)
We enjoyed the company of several of our local Hong Kong friends.
Enjoying a meal with friends meant we could try dishes we don't usually order when eating by ourselves.
Our 'focus' was on the Singapore Rice Noodles!
Fun and fancy deserts awaited us after our meal.
TEQUILA JACK'S (Nachos)
Tequla Jack's is located in Kowloon across Victoria Harbor from Hong Kong.
Outdoor seating is available.
Because July is a warm and humid month, we 'opted' to enjoy the air conditioning and our nachos inside.
Tequila Jack's gets extremely busy after the working day is done so we visited during the mid-afternoon.
The Menu.
Being nacho lovers, in our opinion the nachos at Tequila Jack's are far-and-away the finest in all of Hong Kong.
MR. YUEN'S (Chinese)
I 'go-back' to the mid-1990's eating with Mister Yuen in his small restaurant just up-the-street from the Kowloon YMCA. It has given me great joy to share knowing Mister Yuen and his restaurant with Patti.
Singapore Rice Noodles.
FIGO'S IN DISCOVERY BAY (Elegant)
We enjoyed lunch with a close friend who treated us to this elegant meal.
PASSION (Elegant Buffet)
You step up to the counter and select what you want.
11:15AM prior to the noon rush hour is one of the perfect times to visit the Passion restaurant. Late afternoon is also an excellent time to visit.
THE SPAGHETTI HOUSE (Italian)
As with several of our other meals, another of our very closest Hong Kong friends joined us for this wonderful meal.
Close ups of each of our four entrees.
Three members of the clean-plate-club!
There you have it. A visit with us to several of our favorite Hong Kong restaurants.
