To begin with, yes! I have posted several of the first five photos below of local Moose snapped here at our Condo in Anchorage, Alaska. Following these first photos you will find some twenty or more new-to-you Moose photos (again snapped here at our Condo).
So we will begin here with the first of three Moose sightings. The next five photos below were taken from our bedroom window and, as you can see in the last photo, we were almost afraid the Moose yearling was going to try to enter through our bedroom window!
The yearling has spotted us and is coming over to check us out.
Well hello youngster!
No! We don't think it's a good idea if you come into our bedroom.
Then, a few days later, out our living room window we had another Moose sighting.
Then, just yesterday, we had another pair of visitors (a Momma and her yearling) but we did not get up to photograph them.
Finally below, the visit-to-end-all-Moose-visits, a Momma with her two Yearlings.
So here we go. And yes, some of the photos are almost identical but I just don't have the energy to carefully sort them out.
The first sequence of photos were snapped from our bedroom window. To the best of our ability to ascertain, we think that they were licking the salt, used for melting earlier ice and snow, from the sidewalk pavement.
Will you just look (above and below) at how double-jointed their front legs are?
Talk about double-jointed front legs!
The missing yearling in the above photos went off for a rest by itself.
Nap time we guessed. Go figure!
The time has come to wrap this Moose visit up.
In Patti's 31 years here at the Condo, she has never seen anything even close to these recent Moose visits.
Global warming? Who knows.
