This weekend, beginning last Thursday March the 3rd, and continuing through yesterday, Saturday March the 5th, the 7th Annual Havasu Deuce Show was held.
The below link will provide some information about the show.

Now what on earth, many of you may very well ask, is a Deuce Show?
Thanks to our friends at Wikipedia and elsewhere-on-line, below is some information as to what a Deuce is.
The name "deuce coupe" is shorthand slang for the 1932 Ford Model 18 with the side-valve flathead V-8 engine. The Model B (also available in coupe form) was the designation for the 1932 Ford inline-four model.
The Ford Motor Company was the first manufacturer to offer a low-cost V-8 engine in a mass-produced car—the 1932 Ford Model 18, which sold for as little as $460.
The deuce coupe '32 Ford was favored by early hot rodders for its low cost, ubiquity (the fact of appearing everywhere or of being very common) and powerful V-8 engine, spawned the hot-rodding aftermarket.
The term "deuce coupe" burst onto the pop culture scene in 1963 with the Beach Boys B-side hit, "Little Deuce Coupe." The deuce coupe would gain further fame as the mechanical star of George Lucas' 1973 cult smash hit, American Graffiti.
Although many of the era's body styles look very similar, the bodywork of the 1932 Ford Model 18 is unique to that model year and can be easily distinguished by its grille and radiator shell.
There were 14 body styles of 1932 Fords, including two coupes: the three-window and the five-window.
The side-valve V-8 flathead Ford engine in the 1932 Model 18 displaced 221 cubic inches and produced 65 horsepower. Later, more powerful versions of the flathead V-8 in 239ci, 255ci, and 337ci form, designed for Mercury and Lincoln cars and Ford trucks, were popular deuce coupe swaps with hot rodders.

Last Thursday March 3rd, Patti and I relocated from our motel down in Phoenix, Arizona, and drove up here to Lake Havasu City. We did not know about the Deuce Show until Patti saw it in the local newspaper late Thursday afternoon. Being tired (exhausted) we did not immediately go out searching for the show. Instead, we moved into our room, settled down, ate dinner, and went to bed (I crashed).
Friday we continued to settle and to catch our breath. Saturday I was up at 6am and made a trip out to our local Walmart / Home Depot (a 7 mile drive each way).
While out, I also found and explored the Lake Havasu Rotary Park, the site of Saturday's Deuce Show. Patti and I then made plans to check-it-out in the early afternoon.
It seemed to be just a general meeting place where groups were getting together (out of the sun) and just enjoying the ambiance of the Deuce Show.
And then I snapped an up-close photo of the contestants identification.
I was stunned and so too was Patti! Patti went to High School in Covina, California the home of the owner of this Deuce! How did it just happen that of the 500 cars on display, my first (and bascially only) photo of an indentification decal was from Covina! Go figure!
Yes Robert 94596, the below customized Ford is NOT your Mercury BUT, when I saw it, I was transported to your Merc!
