The Main Entrance.
By the way, I was a volunteer at this years Balloon Festival. One of my volunteer assignments was here at the Main Entrance.
Volunteering was a fun adventure for me. I plan to volunteer again assuming that we are back in Lake Havasu City next year.
Back to the Main Entrance.
Below is a close up photo of the sign on the right edge of the above photo.
Above, the Festival Grounds are really large.
Below, we are now inside of the Festival Grounds.
In the below photo, just right of center, in the distance, can you see two (call them) unusual Hot Air Balloons? We are going to work our way out to them.
Talk about a LARGE "outboard" motor !
Now we are going to see this years "unusual" Hot Air Balloons. The three of them were really "crowd favorites"!
As you have seen earlier in this Post, there they are in the distance as you enter the festival grounds.
On the very left edge of the above photo, do all of you see the third one of the three special balloons? There he is in the below photo.
In the above photo you are not able to see a picturesque small lighthouse at the far side of the festival grounds.
Below are photos that I snapped when I was at my volunteer post at 8:15am for the 5K walk / 10K run on Saturday morning January the 21st.

During the festival, for those who wish to enjoy a short flight, they may do so.

Two of us manned the turn-around-point of the event. We were set up early and ready for the event.
The weather was cool, in the high 40's, but a stiff wind chill sure made its presence felt. The black GMC Suburban in the background is my truck.
The below runner was first in the 10K run.
It was fun and a great experience. I plan to volunteer again next year assuming we are back in Lake Havasu City for next years Balloon Festival.
