Yes!!
I really..
Titled this Post as ..
"AXE THROWING IN LAKE HAVASU CITY"
Oh Good Grief Captain! You meant what you said!
Captain we never know what is coming next on your website!
I can not tell you, there is no possible way for me to figure out just how many times, over the past years, Patti and I have been in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and that Patti and I, on London Bridge Road, drove past the below scene and said ourselves..
"What on this good earth is Axe Throwing? Some day we will have to find out!"
But we never explored Axe Throwing "until" two very recent events occurred.
First, we ate at our local IN-N-OUT Burger.
Second, Patti and I ate an absolutely, magnificent, Pizza at ROSATI'S.
Captain! Are you asking us to figure out one of Gullible's "Brain Teasers"?
What on this good earth does eating at the IN-N-OUT Burger and Rosati's Pizzeria have to do with you exploring the Axe Throwing venue?
Here is your answer. The three of them are in the same Mall. On the extreme left in the below photo is the Axe Throwing venue and on the extreme right is Rosati's. Across the Mall from Rosati's (this would be to my right as I snapped the below photo) is the IN-N-OUT Burger.
When we went to both the IN-N-OUT Burger and Rosati's we parked (once) right in front of the Axe Throwing venue and the second time very close by.
And Patti said to me, as we were parked directly in front of Axe Throwing .. "Cap why don't you go into Axe Throwing and explore it because you've been saying for years that you wonder what on earth it is?"
What a concept Patti! That thought did not occur to me!
And now (Taa-Daa) The Rest Of The Story.

How can we truly fathom Google and Wikipedia and the myriad of sources we all have online!
Axe Throwing was spawned as an event in lumberjack competitions! I wonder if the giant lumberjack Paul Bunyan participated in Axe Throwing?
Below have a look at what Wikipedia has to say about it.
There are hundreds of axe throwing venues across Canada, the USA, Australia, Europe and Thailand. The typical axe throwing venue in North America has at least five lanes and a place to sit, watch and write down points. They may also serve beverages and snacks.
What would we do without Wikipedia? I am proud to be a financial contributor.

AXE THROWING IN LAKE HAVASU CITY
Axe Throwing is open seven (7) days a week!
Everyone I met, from customers to both of the managers that we met, were just great sports. Everyone I interacted with answered all of my questions.
Throwing Lanes are what they call the lanes that people throw their axes down towards a target. As you can see below, each lane has a name.
The rings on the targets represent points. Beginning with the center dot (bullseye) is 6 points. Next is 4 points going out in order to 1 point for the outermost circle.
Along with the two managers and the gentleman below, these were my "go-to" sources of information. A really pleasant gentleman, his wife and children were participating in different lanes and areas.
The rates are ..
$20 for 1/2 an hour for one thrower.
$30 for a full hour for one thrower.
$25 each for a full hour in a group of 6 or more throwers.
$600 for each full hour when a group rents the entire venue.
Based on my overall observations, the above gentleman seemed to be "The best" Axe Thrower during my stay. It seemed to me that he nailed at least 4 out of 10 throws.
Yes Oh Yes! He offered to let me try a "few throws". Of my four throws, I scored a zero! Not one of them "stuck".
Above and below, the axe is in the 3 point ring.
Below are his wife and two daughters. They too were fun and very easy to visit with.
Shoot a little pool? A fun setup indeed!
They have a League of axe throwers that compete with one another.
Below, side by side, are the targets used for League Play.
Below are the "Standings", for the frequent participants. I asked My Man if he was listed and he replied that he was not one of the Top Axe Throwers. The Managers also ruled themselves out for obvious reasons.
On the left column above and in the closeup below, the top ten throwers age 18 and over are listed.
Below is a close up of the right column listing throwers age 18 and under.
You have age 18 and under. And you have age 18 and over.
I do not know where someone who IS age 18 years would fit!
What on earth is "The Point" of Axe Throwing?
Obviously "The Point" is to become the Number One Axe Thrower!
No! I am not going to even think of pursuing Axe Throwing BUT each of our three visits were a Hoot And A Holler!
Patti came in with me on my third visit and really enjoyed the venue and meeting the one of the two managers that I met.
Smiling Big Smiles ..
