DEC 18, 23 .. THE NUTCRACKER BALLET

Yesterday, Sunday afternoon, December 17th, Patti and I enjoyed seeing The Nutcracker Ballet here in Lake Havasu City, at the Performing Arts Center of Lake Havasu High School.

I should add that perhaps you will find even more than you ever want to know about The Nutcracker. 

The Nutcracker dates back to 1892. 

In a nutshell, it is a story about a young girl's Christmas present of a nutcracker. She falls in love with it and it "comes to life".

It IS The Christmas Season!

There was a very enthusiastic crowd at the Performing Arts Center.

"The Man", Mr. Nathan Cottam, welcomed the audience.

He singled out two members of his "Team" and explained how very important they were to this production of The Nutcracker.

Little did we know, little did we expect, that as he was addressing the audience, Nathan Cottam is also an accomplished ballet dancer himself. You will see him live and in action later in this Post.

As you view the below photos, we hope you get an idea of how colorful the show was and how many children participated.

In the next two photos, neither Patti nor I have any idea of who the gentleman with the eye patch and long hair was.

His part was one of the major ones in the show. 

We REALLY loved the children.

Notice in the below photo, the four children on the right look confused as to what is happening.

Meet "The" Lead Ballerina! 

She was a "Show Stopper"!

We were amazed at how often the performers changed costumes!

All of a sudden we had Black and Red costumes!

Then the below lads showed up!

Up near the beginning of this Post (photos 7 and 8), I stated that.. 

Little did we know, little did we expect, that as he was addressing the audience, Nathan Cottam is also an accomplished ballet dancer himself.

Amazing! Absolutely, positively, outstanding. 

And now we have come to the end of the show with a Grand Finale.
