This evening, at our local Lake Havasu City Library, we attended a seminar about Artificial Intelligence.
It was titled:
Matthew Goodwin presents -
Staying Human in the Artificial Intelligence Revolution.
By most accounts, the revolution in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has only just begun. What is the current state of AI and what does it mean for humanity? This presentation will provide a general introduction to what AI currently can and cannot do. We will also explore some of the philosophical questions that AI raises. What are the ethical concerns about using AI? What about privacy concerns? What does AI mean for our jobs? Will we be threatened by a robot apocalypse? And what, ultimately, does it mean to be human in the age of AI?

I am so sorry. There is no possible way that I can capture and repeat any of Mr. Goodwin's message about Artificial Intelligence!
To put it bluntly: The field of Artificial Intelligence and its history is vastly complex way beyond our understanding.
But the presentation was certainly interesting and both Patti and I greatly enjoyed the seminar.
Patti and I sat in the front row, directly in front of one of the two monitors.
It was nice there were two monitors for the audience.
I know from my own days of speaking to gatherings how Mr. Goodwin is feeling.
Mr. Goodwin replied, "No. Not necessarily."
Again I wish I could convey some important fact about AI after listening to Mr. Goodwin but sadly I am not able to do so.
But it was fun and a great outing for Patti and me.

By The Way, on April the 4th of 2024, here at the Lake Havasu City Library, Patti and I attended a presentation on The Arizona Desert.
