Thank You Tom, and Thank You Ginny, for this great Guest Contribution showing the photos that you two took while touring the Red Rock Canyon, National Conservation Area, just West of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area lies in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. It’s known for geological features such as towering red sandstone peaks and the Keystone Thrust Fault, as well as Native American petroglyphs. Panoramic viewing spots dot the 13-mile Scenic Drive. The sheltered Ice Box Canyon has seasonal waterfalls. To the south, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park features historic buildings and hiking trails.
The below link will give you a nice overview of the Conservation Area.
Here we go!
Tom and Ginny.
How very nice you got the below photo showing the two of you.
I can't recall what the temperature was, BUT it was a very hot day when they visited the area. Ginny said they only got out of their air conditioned car a few times.
