I just love Google.
So I Googled "Taco Tuesday" to see if Taco Tuesday truly is a legitimate saying.
Here is what I found..
One popular theory suggests that a restaurant in California, possibly Taco John's, coined the term "Taco Tuesday" as a catchy way to attract customers. The phrase soon gained traction, and other eateries began adopting it to boost their sales.
There you have it.
TACO TUESDAY..
This past Tuesday, October the 28th, Patti and I decided to try out a local Taco eatery that we have heard about.
The proper name of our local taco eatery is not GANJA GUYS.
As you look down at the next three photos, please notice how small (Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny) the Taco was.

OH, NO! That serving is proof positive that a crime was committed at El Jefe's! The restaurant would be better described as LOS BANDITOS! I feel for you both to have sat through the miserly servings. Now, the Scottsdale serving is more on the decent size (price depending!) but still lacks any zest, zeal, punch....or near enough variety of cheese's nor vegetables, sour cream...to pass 'em off as 'real' nachos! Remember the couple of x's I joined you and Patti down near the Lake Hood restaurant when we would share a very healthy serving of nacho's? Ah, the good ol' days!
ReplyDeleteMy LHC favorite for taco's still is El Paraiso. They recently built their new restaurant near Sam's breakfast cafe in the gathering of restaurants that borders Palo Verde and London Bridge Rd. The tacos are still $3ea, but with supple amounts of shredded beef, regular gr. round, or chicken. Soft or hard shells. And one can gorge themselves on all of the chips and salsa until one can't eat another solitary one! You may remember I will forever 4 tacos. Eating 2 there...and 2 to go for later in the evening or next morning. Yum!
Adios, mis amigos.
You will be in Las Vegas (or in your hotel room in Laughlin) by the time you read this!
BTW....we had a fun and fairly successful Roundup (Miracle On The River) here this weekend.
Love you both!
Michael and Little Bit
