After the upcoming 1st of the year, I will begin to focus on the upcoming Lake Havasu Balloon Festival.
This upcoming 2026 Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair is scheduled for January 22–25, 2026, here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The popular event features mass ascensions, sunrise ceremonies, glow events, food, vendors, entertainment, and even running events, all held at Lake Havasu State Park.
All of the Volunteers will be meeting on Saturday, January the 17th from 9am until 12noon.
This will be my 4th year as a volunteer for the Balloon Festival. As I have done during my three previous festivals, I will be working on the 5K/10K Saturday morning the 22nd.
It has been great fun to be a real part of one of the Lake Havasu City Annual Festivals.

We have learned to help others is our primary responsibility. I am always so honored to share my wisdom, aka "computer" knowledge/experience with friends (or anyone allowing me the time!). The selfish part of giving away freely what was also offered to us by others sometime in the past is it almost always never fails to leave us all feeling better of ourselves. When I was a novice student of computers, learning everthing I could consume about them, and with tons of failures, crashes, devastating system failures, I embarrassingly reached out to computer pros/wizards who never ceased to share their very own knowledge and experience. I must have had dozens upon dozens of pros help me to troubleshoot, repair and restore the multitude of systems where I had no clue where to begin. As a result of all of the help I FREELY received I promised I would 'pay it forward' wherever/whenever I could. That's the way it works, right? And Cap, you and Patti have helped and guided me in endless ways in our long friendship and I am grateful and humbled by our shared experiences. One thing is for certain: if it ain't broke I ain't gonna change this approach! So there!
