DEC 29, 22 .. SETTLING INTO OUR APARTMENT .. WE HAD TO HAVE A BED

" What a silly title Captain ! " 

" Of course you have to have a bed ! " 

" But we thought your apartment was furnished ! And ? You showed us photos of a bed ! "

" Not just a bed ! A very nice looking bed ! "

" O.K. all true ! BUT, sad-to-say, the above bed is a Queen size bed and My Queen says that we must have a King size bed ! "

Step One .. Our landlord removed the above bed for us. 

Now you see it ? 

VOILA ! Now you don't !

Step Two .. Our landlord's wife found and purchased (we pay for it of course) a King sized bed and arranged for it to be delivered and set up !

Step Three .. Delivery and installation of our new King size bed !

So VERY nice to see you ! They were set-your-watch by it on time !

I slipped them a $20 bill ! They were VERY gracious and so appreciative !

DEC 29, 22 ( 2 / 2 ) .. GONNA TAKE ANOTHER SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY .. HERE IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA

Yesterday, I went for a walk from the Windsor Inn, our motel here in Lake Havasu City, to the Lake Havasu City Yacht Club. This is a walk that I have done many (as in MANY) times. 

In yesterday's Post, I wrote that Patti and I have signed a long term rental agreement to move into our new apartment here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We plan to stay in our apartment whenever we are here. Never again will we stay here at the Windsor Inn. 

So yesterday (Wednesday) morning, when I walked out of the Windsor Inn, and walked up London Bridge Road to the North heading for the Lake Havasu City Yacht Club, a walk that I've enjoyed for some years, I knew that it would be the last time that I would make the walk that I have come to cherish. 

And ? Ladies and Gentlemen, Sports Fans, I did not mention in yesterday's Post that I enjoy two walks that originate from the Windsor Inn. One goes North and the other goes South.

Yesterday's walk to the Yacht Club is due North.

Today's walk is due South.

GONNA TAKE ANOTHER SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY .. HERE IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA

Without further ado, out and off we go, heading due South.

Oh My Captain ! You haven't told us that they don't always have 100% clear, warm, sunny, blue-sky days here in Arizona !

IF you recall yesterday's Post, walking North is quite different from today's walk South. The Southern part of London Bridge Road is FAR more commercial.

The Rodeway Inn and Super 8 are familiar milestones on the Southern walk.

Now we are coming to the Hampton Inn.

On South we continue. They have a lot of special events in this area where automobiles park.

You will not believe that the above scene looks as I show below during the Lake Havasu Balloon Festival.

On South I continue.

We are nearly at the end of my Southern walk down London Bridge Road. 

Motel 6 awaits me.

The end of the walk. Now I walk back 0.7 (seven tenths) of a mile to the Windsor Inn Motel.

And there you have a second Sentimental Journey. One that I will not be walking again.

Oh Yes ! I will find new walking routes from our new apartment.
