APR 20,16 .. ARAMBOL BEACH .. SHOPS / RESTAURANTS

There is more to Arambol Beach than the beach scenes that I have shown in great detail in my recent Posts.

In this Post I am going to show the main shopping area of Arambol Beach.

Leaving our wonderful apartment ..

We will take a short and extremely leisurely walk of about ten to fifteen minutes to reach the main shopping area of Arambol Beach.

The photos speak-for-themselves!

We are IN the topics. Now we are going to wend-our-way through the area behind the beach front hotels and guest houses. They are to our left in the below photos.

A beautiful small chapel. The entire scene is beautiful.

Back to our walk.

Directly ahead will be the main road into the shopping area.
We are at the main road and we will walk to the left.
Below we will follow the road and bend to our right. If we go straight and to the left we will be on the beach.
I will now show a few of the shops in the village.

Notice in the two photos below the yellow sign on the right.

The Double Dutch is one of my favorite restaurants in Arambol Beach.
Let's go into the Double Dutch for a visit and some food.
Patti and I sat at the table in the left foreground below.
Without a net above to protect you a falling coconut could kill you.
This lethal hazard is taken very seriously by the local residents.
Protective netting at our guest house.

We split a daily special of hummus, olives, bread, mushrooms and eggplant. I am telling you it was delicious!

 This too was delicious!
Back on the main  street we walk. Just past the Double Dutch is another of my favorite restaurants in Arambol Beach. The blue sign on the left is the China Garden.

The China Garden even serves breakfast.
Patti let's have a bite to eat at the China Garden.
Three selections. Patti's tuna salad. Our garlic bread. My Burekush is at the bottom
Patti's tuna salad up close and personal.
I had never heard of a Burekush but Man-O-Manischewitz was it ever out of this world.
There it is below on the menu .. BUREKUSH .. I got the Tuna Burekush
I am salivating just looking at the above photos.

More shopping stalls. Ever more!

Patti loves her books and her book stores.

I buy all of my bread at the German Bakery.

Patti had her hair cut at a nice salon on the main road we are walking along.

Take a moment to peruse the below 'fun' sign. Where else do you ever need to go for health needs?!

I am going to end this post with three special photos of a small child and his mother's tinyTINY little shop. It captured my heart. I gave them some business because it was the right thing to do.

The little boy looks so serious and intent on doing a good job.
I wonder about his future.

Our Thanks To You Who Are Following Along Here With The Two Of Us!

Cap and Patti ..

  1. Nice taking the walk with you into DOWNTOWN Arambol Beach!! Also nice to again vicariously enjoy the meals we had at Double Dutch and China Garden, and to wander along the colorful shops once again. Great stirring of some wonderful memories! Thank you!! Love, Patti

  2. I can't help but wonder what happens to the shops when a storm moves through. They are very fun to observe in these photos. How do you tolerate the food so well? It looks delicious and I know it is but I hear stories about Americans getting sick when they eat in other countries.
