These Wonderful .. These Joyous .. These Special Photos deserved their very own special Post.
In yesterday's Post, I showed you photos of my walk to .. and my photos of .. The Irkutsk Circus.
While I was doing my photo shoot of The Circus .. Suddenly .. Out of nowhere, appeared Sparkey*. Please see my Post Script below after I sign off at the end of this Post.
And, equally suddenly, also out of nowhere, appeared a young girl who was absolutely enamored with Sparkey*.
And out came my camera and away I went .. Snap Snap Snap ..
The photos speak for themselves.
It was love at first sight.
"Would you like to dance with me?'
"Oh YES! I would love to dance!"
"Here is how we will dance together you and I."
"You can't see me!"
"Oh yes I can!"
"Thank You for dancing with me!"
Then it was goodbye forever.
IF ever in this lifetime I would have wanted a 'motor-drive' on a camera, it was while the above dance was being performed.
"Thank You So Very Much to the people of Irkutsk who are responsible for such a fun and joyous event." Someone had to come up with the idea of having Sparkey* there to entertain the children.
With Joy .. With Love ..

*Post Script : I did every trick I know in the book to try to find out just who the above character is to no avail. I Googled Cartoon Characters. I Googled Television Characters. I looked at (yes count them) three hundred and fifty characters to no avail. I even Googled Russian Cartoon Characters. This I knew : It was NOT Mickey Mouse. So I decided to call him Sparkey. He had a real spark for life and joy.

YES .. these photos deserved their own special post. How delightful that you were right where you were, when you were, to capture this encounter .. Sparkey and the lovely little Girl in the Red Coat. She must have been beyond entranced to have this dance with Sparkey! How sweet it is!! Smiling with love, Patti
ReplyDeleteMy reply to you showed up below. Smiles .. Love .. Cap
DeleteWell, that was sweet. Check to see if your camera has video capability. Most of the Coolpix cameras do.
ReplyDeleteBTW, check out this blog story about Irkutsk. Might give you some sight-seeing ideas https://gheetravels.com/2018/10/01/irkutsks-unexpected-character/
I will check it out when I return. Right now I have a flight to Kyzyl to catch. Thanks for the suggestion. Smiles .. Cap
DeleteInteresting also that the two of them did not draw a crowd of onlookers. This episode was part and parcel of my visit to The Circus but I decided to post these photo separately and not mix them in with The Circus photos and its post. As I just mentioned to you, the name that came to mind, Sparkey, was the name of my first ever dog. He was a white terrier as I vaguely recall. Now off to Kyzyl. Much Love .. Cap
ReplyDeleteI don't think that was a mouse character, but a panda. There is a Mini-HOtel Panda in Irkutsk.
ReplyDeleteNo question Sparkey is a Panda. But Mickey Mouse was the first idea that came to mind. Smiles. Cap
