Just in case you have not seen Part 1 of this series of posts showing the Butterfly Wonderland, here in Scottsdale (Phoenix) Arizona, and would like to see it, just 'click onto' the below link..
http://bobbacaps.blogspot.com/2020/02/feb-7-20-butterfly-wonderland-phoenix.html
We'll begin this post with photos of the exterior of the building.
In the above photo, in the far right background, you can barely see the wings of a Monarch Butterfly. Below is a closer look at it.
A Butterfly Monument.
It is time to purchase tickets.
After entering the building we walk past (and maybe visit) the very pleasant gift shop.
The children put their heads through the holes in the below photo display and voila! They become butterflies.
Now we enter Butterfly Wonderland proper.
First we saw a really great 3D (three dimensional) movie about the amazing phenomenon of the migration of the Monarch Butteries.
Then we entered into the butterfly pavilion proper.
And?
One of the first things you see is..
The 'catbird seat'..
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catbird_seat
Here at the Butterfly Wonderland, the 'catbird seat' is a special 'butterfly resting place'.
And?
Since this visit is Patti's Saint Valentine's Day gift..
Who do you think just loved to sit in the 'catbird seat'?
Additional views of the 'catbird seat' area, which is the general area you see immediately after you enter into the butterfly pavilion.
The ladies on the right side of the below photo are looking at the fish in the pond below the beautiful waterfall.
Because of the reflection on the water, I was not able to snap a really good photo of the fish. But you are certainly able to see the fish in the pond.
Now we begin our walk through the butterfly pavilion.
We begin our walk by first visiting the HONEY BEE EXTRAVAGANZA.
Looking up the main aisleway of the HONEY BEE EXTRAVAGANZA.
We were absolutely fascinated by, and at the same time, astounded by the above and below information.
The time has come to show you some butterflies.
PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE BUTTERFLIES!
Here we go!
The overall ambiance of the Butterfly Wonderland is very relaxing and pleasant.
And now we'll show you a few of the butterflies that were willing to 'sit still' (if only for a few moments) for a photo.
These butterflies were absolutely beautiful.
Butterflies 'taste' with their feet. So you can well imagine just how much the below butterflies are enjoying the fruit set out in bowls for them!
All things must end and the time had come (after 3 magical hours) for us to say goodbye to the Butterfly Wonderland.
Well there you have it, Part 2 of this series of posts. We hope you enjoyed coming along with us as we visited The Butterfly Wonderland.
"Patti? Did you enjoy your Saint Valentine's Day gift?"
"Oh Yes I did! Our visit was wonderful. Thank You!"
"Much Love My Dear One."
Cap and a very happy Patti
