JUL 25, 21 .. TURNAGAIN ARM OF COOK INLET .. BIRD POINT

Yes indeed. No doubt about it. Some of you are going to get tired of, and bored with, the below words, words that I have now posted on three consecutive Posts here on blogspot.

I have been in a bit of a slump. Oh Come On Captain! You might as well say that the atomic bomb was just another loud firecracker.

Gullible's advice : Step outside, get in your truck, take a drive, look around, take photos, post them here for all to see.

So? 

Patti and I, once again, this afternoon, did just that. 

We got into our truck and took a drive down the Seward Highway, along The Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet, to Bird Point about 30 miles South of Anchorage.

The two of us have not driven down here in several years. In fact we can't clearly recall when our last drive was. Our best guess would be during the Summer of 2018.

We have arrived at Bird Point.

It is SO amazingly, breath takingly beautiful, here in Alaska, during the Summer!

As we wrote in the above Post, to view a Bore Tide is a combination of studying Tide Tables and pure luck.

"Patti! What on earth are all of these people doing here?"

"Cap! I think that they are watching for an oncoming Bore Tide!"

And so they were. Yes! We saw the Bore Tide but this is not the perfect location because you are quite far away from the water. Not having a powerful telephoto camera lens, I did not get any photos. Go back to the above dot.net link and you will see how much closer we were at that time.

Along the walkway into the main viewing area are numerous information displays.
