JUL 31, 21 .. A WONDERFUL SATURDAY ..

As many of you know, I have been in a bit of a slump. 

"Oh Come On Captain! Slump? You might as well say that the atomic bomb was just another loud firecracker."

Once again, Patti and I, this afternoon, did just that. 

Today we had a little help-from-our-friends! We were invited to attend a picnic.

So at 1:30pm this afternoon, we joined our friends at a picnic. It was located at the Valley of The Moon Park, here in Anchorage.

If you look over the top of the sign in the below photo, you can see the picnic in the distance.

To protect the anonimity of the attendees, we opted not to show close-up photos of the picnic.

The below photo was taken as the picnic was winding down. 

At 4pm the picnic was over, the clean up crew had completed their tasks, and all in attendance had left.

Patti and I had a wonderful time. The weather was absolutely perfect and we visited with friends (some of whom) that go back 30 years.

Standing at the below entrance sign, if you turn 90° to your right,

You see another section of the rather large Park.

Notice another smaller picnic in progress to the right in the below photo.

On the extreme left edge of the below photo, in the distance, you can see where our picnic was located.

Yes! The park-was-jumping on this wonderful afternoon!

We two came home to our condo and enjoyed a wonderful Costco Chicken Salad.

"Patti, it is such a gorgeous day, would you like to drive down Turnagain Arm to Beluga Point?" 

And out and off we went heading South down the Seward Higway to Beluga Point.

If you look very closely at the below photo, in the distance on the right you can see our white Chevrolet Surburban. A visitor wearing a bright blue shirt is standing beside it.

Now we are at our truck.

In the back of our truck, we have a very comfortable, full length, twin bed mattress. I slept for over an hour while Patti enjoyed reading a book.

Even large motor homes can find a place to park here at Beluga Point.

Now a look at some of the Beluga Point scenery.

On the East side of the Seward Highway is a rock outcrop formed when they constructed the highway.

A picnic with friends and a nice drive. It doesn't get too much better than this!
