George & Sons Asian Cusine is arguably one of our favorite restaurants here in the Phoenix Metro Area. We can't say it is our absolute favorite restaurant because we have a favorite Mexican Restaurant when we hunger for Nachos, a favorite steak house, sandwich shop, vegetarian restaurant, etc.
GEORGE & SONS ASIAN CUSINE
Nice to park so close.
One thing was very special during this visit. This was the first time that we were joined by friends.
What a hoot it was !
Patty (Patty with a 'y' as opposed to our Patti with an 'i') and Stan ordered dishes that we never order because all we have ever ordered (and plan to continue to do so) are Singapore Rice Noodles.
Stan ordered a dish described as Jumbo Shrimp with Honey Glazed Walnuts.
Let me tell all of you this was an absolutely amazing entrėe. I had to fight-off my desire to eat his dinner and act like an adult in front of our good friends !
Patty ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken. It too (I tasted it) was delectable.
Our Patti ordered Spring Rolls to enjoy with her Singapore Rice Noodles.
And there, in the below photo, you have them! Our Singapore Rice Noodles!
They were as good as they always are !
And then an absolutely 'magical and special' event suddenly happened !
Patti and I have been enjoying meals at George & Son's Asian Cusine since January of 2017 when we first discovered it.
NEVER EVER had we enjoyed the below experience!
George himself (I asked him IF he was the owner. He smiled and said 'Sometimes') suddenly appeared beside me. And all five of us launched into an 'animated' discussion about many topics.
Meet George of George & Sons Asian Cusine.
Meet Patty and Stan as well.
It was a hoot ! It was a holler ! It was magical ! It truly was a once in our life time visit to George & Son's !
It just doesn't get any better than this !
We will sign off as ..
Cap and Patti and Stan and Patty and GEORGE himself !
Well, well, well. Cap suddenly discovered Chinese restaurants serve delicious food other than Singapore rice noodles. Surely the wonders will cease now. My suggestion: go ahead and order your noodles, but add a side dish like the honey walnut shrimp. Too much food? You now have a refrigerator and a means to reheat leftovers. Who knows what culinary delights might come your way. Go ahead. Try out the whole menu, one dish at a time.
