In Part 1 of this series of two posts .. I took you all on a Friday afternoon automobile trip North from Ulaanbaatar Mongolia to Sukhbaatar.
In this post we will now drive South leaving Sukhbaatar and heading home to Ulaanbaatar.
Before I continue I want to explain something. Going North we were on a bit-of-a-time schedule so we could not stop as much as I would have liked. HOWEVER this was fine with me because I KNEW that on Sunday we would be driving South and we would have a lot of time to stop for me to take photographs.
Because of this .. in this post going South you are going to see numerous photos of wildlife simply because we stopped MANY TIMES for me to do the photo-shoots of them you will see below.
Here we go loop-de-loop .. Here we go loop-de-li .. On a very pleasant Sunday in Mongolia ..
You do NOT want to have vehicle problems out here!
A short detour.
Might that be rain out there in the distance?
Look Up ..
If you towed a broken-down vehicle here you are sadly out-of-luck .. There is absolutely NOTHING here .. Zero .. Zip .. De Nada .. Just this silly 'city limits' sign ..
All of a sudden we encountered a herd of sheep ..
Back on-the-road-again ..
Wild horses .. Right on the road ..
More sheep ..
What exactly are you guys .. A mixed-bag? You are NOT sheep!
Take out the papers and the trash .. Or you don't get no spendin' cash .. If you don't scrub that kitchen floor .. You ain't gonna rock and roll no more ..
Yakety Yak .. Yakety Yak .. THE COASTERS .. 1958 ..
I apologize .. It is late and I am giddy .. Giddy with such Joy ..
Oh come on Yaks .. Just give me a little smile!
I know what sheep look like .. It looks like some of you are goats ..
Everyone is getting along well together looks like to me ..

Down the road we continue ..
Some basic cattle ..
Further down-the-road we go .. On another detour .. Will you just-look-and-see!
And .. That-Was-That ..
I love the free-range horses ..
All of a sudden .. Just like that .. Snap-Your-Fingers Quick .. We were back home to Ulaanbaatar ..
I love it .. A Toll Road with Toll Booths ..
Don't ask me .. I don't know .. Where in this world ARE all of the cars ?
Ulaanbaatar sure is a pretty-sight-to-my-eyes this Sunday afternoon after quite an active weekend ..
The road trip is officially over and completed .. I am back at my apartment ..

You constantly AMAZE me ... these photos are fantastico ... I LOVE all of the animals: sheep, cows, goats, horses, yaks, and in Part 1 the pig! The scenery is delightful. And, the isolation of the long stretches of road DO remind me of here in Alaska. You have certainly enhanced my day taking us all on this excursion with you, back and forth from Ulaanbaatar to Sukhbaatar and return. Thank you! With smiles and delight, love, Patti
ReplyDeleteI just lost my own comment .. go figure. As I read down this post I enjoyed it myself. Yes the animals make it enjoyable. And you don't want car trouble out here do you .. just like the road into Manley Hot Springs .. YOU may very well travel this road in late October .. As is always the case .. Time Will Tell ..
