APR 10, 16 .. ARAMBOL BEACH .. THE MAIN BEACH

In my last Post I showed a number of Arambol BEACH photos.

As that Post emerged the primary focus centered upon the 'Hidden' or more properly named 'Kalacha Beach' that lies North of Arambol's 'MAIN BEACH'.
Kalacha or 'Hidden' Beach at Arambol Beach.
IF you are confused don't worry. Just enjoy this Post.

In this Post I am going to show photos of what I am calling the Main Beach at Arambol. We will walk to the far end of the portion of the beach that you see below and we might just walk further. Some of my 'beach walks' were five (5) kilometers or so!

OK .. All of this being-said .. Here we go Loop de loop down at sea level on the Main Beach at Arambol Beach. There will be NO photos taken from up-in-the-sky on the Hill ("Dad I am a small mountain!") at the North end of Arambol Beach.

"Have fun here at our apartment 'My Queen' .. I am off to do a photo-shoot of the beach."
The Vailankanni Guest House we were staying at was so nice.
Off to the beach we go.

Notice in the above photo there are small patches of green vegetation.

While walking out to the beach in late November of 2011 a small voice called out to me from one of the green patches.

"Dad!"

"Down here Dad! Will you please take my picture Dad? If you don't I will never have my picture taken!"
"Oh Thank You Dad!"  .. "What do you mean by The Dinkey Bird?" .. "Sweet little purple flower it's a long story!"

This past January 2015 I snapped the below photo of the above flowers lineage!

Walking West we arrive at the beach where the life guard station is positioned. Notice the red 'Jeep' with the yellow surfboard on its roof.
Further below you will see this Jeep out on the beach. The life guards really actively patrol the beach.
Out we walk right to the surf line.

If we turn 90-degrees to our right we look North up the main beach.

It is a 'busy scene' at the North end of the main beach.

One last look North.

For the time being I am not going to get-into all of this busyness and more highly commercialized Northern area of Arambol Beach.

Don't get me wrong! It may be busy but it still IS VERY NICE!
Man-O-Manischewitz is it ever very nice.

"Don't tell us Captain! Are we finally going to begin to see some photos that we haven't just seen in your last Post!"

"Look you guys! Starting with myself! I am dealing with with some senior citizens who just may appreciate a little refreshing of their and even my own memories here."

Now we are going to turn 90-degrees to our left from the above starting point and begin a nice walk South down the main beach at Arambol.
As you look South above you see absolutely no highly commercialized busyness awaiting us today!

Is this more-like-it I ask you all? Now we are talking the 'real' beach at Arambol.

What! What! You would think that we are in India with all of these sacred cows walking with us here on the beach!
Below do you see the life guard's beach jeep replete with their surf board on the roof just-in-case they have an emergency out in the surf.
 The beach at Arambol!
How are you doing back-at-the-ranch My Queen?
Relaxing as I get-it-on walking out on the beach here! Outrageous!

Written with a grin from my left ear to my right ear. I am so pleased you are actually here with me.

I am now warming-to-the-task here!

The photo below looks South down the beach.
The photo below looks North from whence we have walked. You can see that we have indeed taken a bit of a morning walk! Do all of you recognize the SMALL MOUNTAIN way up in the far distant North that I have shown in so many photos?
"Captain! Did you have to show the hill (small mountain) yet again?"

"Oh for God's sakes Captain!"
"Committee! I am having so much fun here!"

"Now will you all JUST HUSH UP!

Below is the LAND FORMATION in the far distance above.

"My Queen! You have changed outfits!"
Now to some fishing boats. They are up and they are down this Southern part of Arambol Beach. In some ways the fishing boats define this part of the beach.

When I say the fishing boats define this part of the beach I mean it!

They all have very efficient outboard motors.

I am going to show you a crew bringing their fishing boat home from their early morning fishing and 'beaching' their boat.

This .. Is .. Work ..

 WHEW! That was work!

Well that is that .. Their fishing boat is now beached.
"Play it again Captain?"

I captured additional photos detailing the preparation of the boat ramp that they work the boats up on. They lubricate the logs carefully.

Every beach needs this lad. Beautiful music. In his own world.

Back we are to the Life Guard Shack.
Walking back to the Vailankanni Guest House ..

WHEW!

I need a rest .. THAT WAS WORK!

Much Joy to You All ..

Cap ..

  1. Yummm, it is nice to be relaxing out in "our courtyard" at Arambol Beach, vicariously through your post, while you take me (and others) on another stoll down the beach. Going south on the beach it certainly a totally different scene from going north! Thanks for the tour!! Love, Patti

    1. Yes the South section of the beach is certainly far different from the North section. Much less commercialized. I have walked much further South than I showed in this Post. That is not to say that the 'Hidden' Lake and Beach areas are not exceptional because they certainly are as this Post shows. And not extremely commercially developed.

I was hoping you would enjoy these recent posts and I am happy you are. Much Love .. Cap ..
