JAN 23, 25 ( 4 / 4 ).. VW BUSES BY THE BRIDGE 2025..

Here we are at Part 4, "The End of the Line", the finale of Buses By The Bridge 2025, here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

I enjoyed the festival. I may well have taken too many photos. Or maybe too few photos are being left on the cutting room floor. But I take them and if I then delete them I am left wondering why I snapped them.

So here we go with yet more photos of VW Buses.

IF they would have asked me to join them, I very well may have accepted their invitation! It sure looked good.

The following photos were taken on Sunday, the 19th of January. It always surprises me when I see how many VW Buses are towed on trailers to the festival. Some are offered for sale. 

There you have Buses By The Bridge 2025.

It is amazing how almost six hundred VW Buses all successfully exit the venue, but exit they do!

VW BUSES BY THE  BRIDGE..

And the winner is ??

Oh! You don't understand?

This is my very own "Contest" to determine the MOST UNUSUAL VW Bus at the festival.

And the winner is ??

Deep breath.. Hold it.. Let it out slowly..

Will all of you just look at the below.. 

MOST UNUSUAL VW Bus..

That I have ever seen at this festival or anywhere, anyplace else!

The gigantic tires! Have you ever seen anything like this "VW Bus"!

"Crazy said Red!"

Amazing huh? Absolutely, positively, amazing.

This is important in terms of timing.

It took me probably another hour before I finished perusing the Buses By The Bridge Festival. 

I found (no easy task) our GMC Suburban and exited the festival.

As I was heading up the left lane of London Bridge Road and I headed to Mesquite Avenue and home to our apartment, I casually looked into my rear view mirror.

Whoa!

Then, all of a sudden there he was, riding my back bumper..

As I was moving into the right lane I rolled down my window and "Waved him past me." He blasted by me waving and hitting his truck-like Air Horn.

I then immediately moved back into the left lane and (I lucked out) we stopped at Mesquite Avenue and Arizona State Highway 95.

Out came my smart phone and away I went.

He jumped into the left turn lane and off up Arizona Highway 95 he roared.

A question for Michael here in Lake Havasu City..

"Have you ever seen this crazy rig running around town Michael?"

I don't know about you all, but Patti and I are having one grand time!

JAN 21, 25 ( 2 / 4 ).. VW BUSES BY THE BRIDGE 2025..

In Part 2 here I want to show some of the "other activities" that were taking place during the four day weekend.

I don't quite know how to describe what I am now going to show you below but it involved a Sound Stage with a host at a microphone talking almost non-stop about the festival.

 Periodically he would stop, pick a ticket (or something) from a container, identify the owner of the ticket and announce what the lucky Raffle winner was going to receive.

So here we go.

Let's start out with some "crowd photos" just to give you some idea of the size of this particular, call it, event.

Now I am going to move in closer to the "Sound Stage" where the host announcer was "Holding Court".

Then we had the Dare Devil Bicycle Riders.

They made the front page of our local newspaper.

I, quite accidently, deleted my photos of the above Dare Devil Bicycle Riders.

Now back to some VW Buses.
