Patti and I, along with many, MANY, National Football League (NFL) fans, have been waiting this past week for this final game of the 2024-25 Regular Season.
This game established several "Never before in the history of the NFL" has there been a game like this.
"Never before in the history of the NFL"..
Have two teams that had each won 14 games in a season played each other on the last weekend of the season.
Never has a Wild Card Playoff Team (the Minnesota Vikings) won 14 games.
No! Patti and I did not attend the game.
Yes! Patti and I have attended a number of games in the Lions Den, a/k/a Ford Field.
Yes! The below photos were taken during Lions games we have attended in the past.
FORD FIELD, DETROIT, MICHIGAN
Home of the DEROIT, LIONS
The Lions "colors" are Blue and Silver.
Pregame socializing.
DETROIT LIONS 31 - 9 MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Patti, along with me and every Detroit Lion Football Fan sure enjoyed the second half of the game. Yes the first half was indeed "a bit tense".
It was certainly an exciting game. I feel bad for the Vikings fans (although they get another chance next weekend.) They love their team no matter how often they lose. I'm happy your Lions have won. Wouldn't it be exciting if they end up in the Super Bowl!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed Kathleen it would be something if the Lions end up in the Super Bowl. Consider this Kathleen. The Detroit Lions have never ever, in their long history that dates all the way back to July 12th 1930, been able to get to the Super Bowl. The Minnesota Vikings (who joined the NFL in 1961) on the other hand have been to FOUR (4 count them) Super Bowls. Smiles and thanks Kathleen for your support and comment. Cap
DeleteYAY for the Detroit Lions victory! I have been a 'pseudo-Lions' fan since I've known you, Cap and you guided me through many of your long-time neighborhoods and historic aspect of this popular city. Quietly I've rooted and hooted and hollered for the Lion's as the team has come back into national prominence! Thank you for the great photos of 'The Lion's Den!' And you and Patti know you always have a 'given' invitation to watch any of their games on a 65" wide-screen TV! Not as exciting as attending in person, but fun to celebrate together with loving, like-minded friends! Let's GO, Lions!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much Michael. Sorry to be a "day late and a dollar short" replying to your comment. Yes Michael. Let's go Lions. Thanks for being a pseudo-Lions fan. It was fun to re-visit the Lions Den via photos in this Post. Yes Oh Yes we know, and yes we have indeed joined you many times previously, we can come over and enjoy your 65-inch wide screen magnificent Television Michael. Smiles .. Cap and Patti
