Sunday, the 12th of January, 2025.
At 7:45am there was a Mass Ascension scheduled..
Weather (the wind) permitting.
Before going down to the Festival Grounds today for "one last visit" this year, I checked our wind.
So even before I went to the Festival Grounds I could "tell" there would be no flights this last day of the Festival.
The two below photos "say it all" as to the high winds.
Below are additional photos that I snapped yesterday, Saturday the 11th.
Thanks for all of the photos and details of our Lake Havasu Balloon Festival. It's a shame the high winds kept the celebrating to bare bones minimum. Mother Nature has been somewhat mischievous the past 4-5yrs and I hope it doesn't dissuade the balloonists from bringing their hot-air colorful machines to our neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome Michael. I never seem to tire of photographing Hot Air Balloons. Yes the wind was an issue. I think that we were very lucky to have had the one morning where so many balloons took to the air. Thanks so very much for your comment Michael. Your Ally .. Cap
